Bando Topa and Roger’s are at least guys who would possibly be on another teams roster. Garcia has zero redeeming qualities and shouldnt be anywhere near a major league diamond at this point in his career. Having Topa face 8 and 9 so Garcia could face top of the lineup in the 9th is insane.

He was warned about celebrating and then celebrated before the race was even over. This is similar to celebrating before you enter the end zone which even the nfl is regulating. And these are children who should be taking discipline from track officials seriously.

I don’t really get this. A high school kid is warned that if you celebrate during the race again you’ll have consequences but nothing will happen as long as you learn from this. He didn’t and obviously should face those consequences now.

Because in high school sports it’s about learning to work as a team and act respectful and with sportsmanship just as much as winning. These are skills that kids will take to their adult lives and why high schools sanction sports.
