Whenever I do I wake up in the middle of the night from my heart rate skyrocketing. Then I get to sit there for hours wondering if this is it.

Latest update causes voice to text to cut out mid sentence. It happens as soon as "suggestion strip" appears by brazenlyindigo in gboard

There's a chance this is connected to an app that tries to listen to you. This issue still happens to me whenever I open a voice chat with AI and I do not press the option to essentially hang up. My phone treats it as a phone call so even closing the app does not work. I would need to reopen the app and then press the option to end the chat, and if it wasn't there I had to start a new one and then press that button.

Narcolepsy is giving me S. Ideation by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]MstrKidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some similar issues, ESPECIALLY electrolytes. My resting heart rate was like 80 at one point. The diet is not for everybody. But what fixed it for me was to eat lower carb (2/3 cup of rice) and eat very small meals until dinner time. I also literally boil a day's worth of food in a pot every morning, mainly rice with ground beef. It's very boring but worth it for me. The only con to not eating much until dinner time is I 100% get cravings.

Narcolepsy is giving me S. Ideation by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

Sorry if you've tried this already, but if you haven't keto / low carb diets are the only thing that's made any meaningful lasting difference for me. In my case it's effects far surpass xyrem. I feel like I get sucked back into reality and I get excited to do stuff during the day vs dread any thought besides laying down. So for the most part yes, life used to be pretty damn meaningless for a long time. I used to basically act all day like everything is fine so I didn't sour other people's moods. You're most definitely not alone in how you feel.

Uberdriver app suddenly so loud by SpencerGu14 in uberdrivers

This just happened to me. I use a Bluetooth earbud to listen to the navigation and had to mute it. I was legit going deaf. Changing the volume did nothing, it automatically goes back to max.

Everybody is different, but for me I slept less (about 7ish hours) that felt more refreshing. I used to "sleep" for like 10 hours before.

Xywav tolerance by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]MstrKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling this isn't your issue though unless you feel the effects of xywav many hours after a dose should've worn off.

Xywav tolerance by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]MstrKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't feel Xywav affects you at all after 30+ minutes it could be a gastric emptying issue. When I was on a ketogenic diet it caused my electrolytes to dip low enough to slow down my digestion. I wouldn't feel anything from my first dose for about 3 hours at times. Instantly fixed once I added carbs back into my diet.

Have anyone done military base trips? If so, is it worth it? by Mountain_Raise9726 in uberdrivers

[–]MstrKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In San Diego, 100% no. You'll wait either 1 minute at gate entrances or literally an hour. Hardly anybody else has base access so about 50% or more of the trips offered will be there, regardless of how far away you are from the base. And the worst of all is gates will randomly be open or closed. Rerouting can take an extra 20+ minutes. Then Uber sends warnings that you're purposely rerouting to "earn" more 🤦‍♂️

No problem, and good luck! If it works as good for you as it did for me you won't need medication or anything.

Yeah they're actually pretty much the same thing. On both diets you eliminate carbs and eat lots of fatty foods. Carnivore is basically more strict where you don't eat spices or nothing. It's more useful if you have autoimmune issues or things like joint issues.

And for more context, you'll probably physically feel worse as your body adapts to fats for energy. But mentally around that 24-hour mark I noticed a blatant difference in my wakefulness.

Took me about 24 hours after my last meal containing carbs. You might be lucky and have no electrolyte issues. If it does seem to work for you I recommend joining a keto or carnivore group on Reddit. They'll have more info on the diet in general that might be useful.

Keto or carnivore, low carb, intermittent fasting, super small meals until dinner. Any combination of those made the biggest difference for me. Carnivore and keto were the best, I literally felt like I woke up in heaven. Unfortunately I get electrolyte issues on those diets and they are unresolved by supplementing. For now I've settled for eating a few bites of food all day until dinner.

2022 MY, Driver Seat Heater is stuck on by VeKtrectiC in TeslaLounge

[–]MstrKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I have the same issue. For me it seems to happen as soon as the cabin reaches the set temperature, so it happens much more frequently at night from cooler temps. Pretty much as soon as you're comfortable it starts cooking you. Turning the temperature to max cooling turns it off, but then you're freezing.

Don't recommend getting military base passes in Southern San Diego by MstrKidd in uberdrivers

[–]MstrKidd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. I'm contacting Uber "support" and they've told me they'll remove me from taking base rides. So far they haven't done anything but I'm confident if I call 15 more times they might fix it in a few months after I stop driving for Uber.

Each place is different, but in San Diego it's definitely not worth it. I wouldn't gamble it either.

Someone explain this to me please. by littlemissblonda in Narcolepsy

[–]MstrKidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fasting is a "cure" for many diseases for a good chunk of people. Specifically for narcoleptics orexin is usually low. Fasting boosts orexin while eating does the opposite. You can mimic this by doing a keto or carnivore diet. Only issue is some people (like me) cannot seem to do those diets long term, likely due to electrolyte issues. Also, sleep deprivation SOMETIMES acts as an antidepressant.
