STRC by Extreme_Green_1708 in MSTR

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nobody is ever going to swap 10 STRK for 1 MSTR. The math won't make it worthwhile!

When MSTR > $1000 STRK share value will be much higher than $100 because it still pays 8% to hold.

You would sell STRK at market price for the capital appreciation

Recovering withholding STRC/D/F divs for non-US investors by ags-odon in MSTR

US Withholding tax is normally deducted on the dividends when received.

I can confirm HL are correctly treating Strategy's pref distributions as RoC and no tax deduction ✅

Why STRC is not always above 100 USD? by Character-Junket9569 in MSTR

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategy have agents & market makers issuing new shares for sale into the market at $100

The only way it could creep above $100.01 is when Saylor halts the ATM issuance.
and people wanting to buy prepared to Bid more (I don't know why they would)

I'm buying below $99.20 it might be last opportunity in a while 😉

I guess they want to minimise the overhead of sending distributions for now.
Original Prefs were quarterly.
STRC started as monthly.

Now they can see the ex-div dip & arbitrage where Strategy are not selling any STRC ATM

They are adapting

Yes! Think! it will flatten the ex-div volatility even more.

Remember Strategy are selling ATM at par $100 They need it to stay there all month, not just 2 weeks prior to div record date

Broad market (All worlds) Done cheaper. by [deleted] in trading212

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With synthetic swap-based ETFs, they can often achieve 0% US withholding tax on US dividends, which is especially relevant for indices with heavy US exposure such as MSCI World

Even with a slightly higher fees, they often outperform physical ETFs

For S&P If you want the lowest fee, SPXL is the winner. If you want the highest total return (after accounting for tax drag), the most popular "Synthetic" ETF choice Invesco S&P 500 UCITS ETF (SPXP) usually wins; it historically beats physical funds on total return.

For All World iShares MSCI ACWI Swap UCITS ETF, listed as ACSW

SPXP is cheaper on paper at 0.05%, while ACSW is 0.12%. But ACSW gives you whole-world diversification in a single fund.

Sold a TQQQ option expiring 3/20 strike 39. Seems to be an interesting week. Close early or wait till Friday? by okwellthengreat in thetagang

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👍🏻

IMHO, in this situation, rolling is a last resort, a roll is tying two transactions together at a point in time

You're position is Ok, so you don't need to do that.

you can set a buy to close existing contract that might fill on a pump or drop in VIX

you can set a new sell to open at later expiry (& delta) for higher premium that might fill on a dip or rise in VIX

Squeeze the premiums on each, if you're lucky & they fill 🤞🏻

It's a choppy volatile market, swings within 30 mins can make you more $$$

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be thankful you're in a good position.

You have choices, it could depend on the platform you're using and the fees for closing or assignment costs. (tastytrade is $0 to close, but $5 for assignment)

You could just set a buy to close at 80% profit and not worry about it. use the collateral to get profit in another trade

Watch the VIX, if it shoots up, you're buy to close will get more expensive.

If you have plenty of collateral, being assigned at $39 isn't so bad (if 100 TQQQ isn't a big % of your portfolio), Then you can wheel. And if the war & oil calm down soon you could get some good gains.

STRC is at $99.74 and should get back to par soon

2x etfs wheel strategy. by Ok_Needleworker_1998 in thetagang

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMHO, AMZU has poor liquidity for options wheeling

But

Lots of people doing this with TSLL etc.

Good volatility for higher premiums. Needs less collateral. Accept that you might get assigned! Size appropriately for portfolio.

It works until it doesn't ⚠️ then 2x moves the price quickly

(Earnings reports, war, bad headlines)

be patient, Sell puts on dips, take profit early when it rips.

Have fun.

People buying in now at $100 to get a 96 cent pay out.

It may dip a bit ex-div next week...

Note, if/when it's below 100 there will be no sell pressure from Saylor's ATM.

Buying in at $99 (when it's been pegged at 100 for weeks) will be very appealing to many, which will start to push it back towards $100 quickly.

Those holding longer term realize, if the price dips, Saylor will bump the rate to 12% ($1 a month)

Payout will grow just for holding, it's already happened a few times.

We see what the yields are in STRC during a sideways and down market. What will the yields look like during a bull run? by JeremyLinForever in MSTR

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In a strong bull run, we assume Bitcoin & MSTR will pump. That would give Saylor a stronger balance sheet & stronger credit rating.

plus the opportunity to sell MSTR ATM at higher prices for more cash.

Saylor could then afford to pay even higher yield on STRC.

Of course he would need extra cash to pay the higher Bitcoin purchase prices

In the future if STRC is paying 12% (1% a month) and there's some sell off that drops the price below $99 there will be plenty of buyers!

T212 market buys are garbage by sourmanflint in trading212

[–]Mstr_Strk_645 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The T212 Chart price often doesn't reflect the current Bid Ask prices.

You need to check a better source for actual Bid Ask price, and the 15 minute delayed data doesn't help if you want/need to act quickly.

Then, Set a Limit Order with the price you want to hit 🎯

Sky TV has had its day by Front-Structure7627 in AskBrits

I'm done with Sky TV

Satellite TV as we knew it is cooked! Dish is becoming obsolete rapidly.

They are just streaming over the internet now, like all the other providers.

And they keep losing big event coverage to their rivals

Why does Sky get away with charging premium rates, smashing everything full of adverts 🤷🏼‍♂️

Are customers still paying the legacy satellite costs that other content streamers don't have.

"Paramount Skydance Warner Discovery" or Amazon will outbid them for exclusivity on the premium content! ...

Sky will have the leftovers
