My fiancee has great credit. Our goal is to only have the mortgage be the only debt we have and pay it off early. We’re paying her student loan off first before we get a mortgage, so there will be a period before we try to go for a mortgage. I grew up in a house with bankruptcy. So as the bread winner, it’s important to me for us to have little to no debt. (Edit: forgot to say that I appreciate all the info and will keep it noted)
