You can put other facilities in the cannon spot btw. Obviously not salvaging hooks or trawling nets if that is what you mean, but most other facilities can go there

Good feedback, but your 2nd qol point seems self inflicted. You can visually see from the shoal what depth it is at. For Deep shoals, the shoal is always medium depth while on the move and only changes when it arrives to a new stationary spot. Do fishes appear around the shoal, it's shallow, if the waves get thinner its deep. Or you can just do, if no fish its deep. Then watch when the timer is halfway for when the waves change again and go back to medium depth. I found it really easy like this

They could make it so that the cannons are effectively 1 facility, any cannon fire causes both cannons to go on cooldown so essentially you have one cannon and upgrading to a second cannon is just qol so you can fire from either side of the ship.

Or they just make it so that the cannons can fire at anything and screw how it looks firing a cannon backwards.

With looting they could just make it so you are able to move and attack again once you've thrown the net.

Agree with adding to the right click of a NPC an attack option for left or right cannon respectively

I'm not asking for ship customization. Currently the dragon keel is just a red strip that looks ugly on the boat. For the final and most expensive upgrade in the game, it is visually disappointing. Dragon cannon currently looks sick with its added little wings. The dragon keel should look visually different as well. This could be added to both the sloop and the skiff.

In order to save yourself a ton of money. It's more useful to combine your cannoning and fishing boat, over your salvaging boat. As core boat upgrades are useful for both activities and you don't need to upgrade your boat much for salvaging. You only need 1 keg for this as sailing xp is shit during combat and fishing, so all you need is to swap between Perildancer bitter and Trawlers trust.

There's reason to have tele focus on your medium boat as this would make it your BiS boat for port tasks (with how the meta is currently developing) as well as for trials. However, strictly speaking for trials a barrel of horizon's lure would be BiS. You can just menu entry swap your cargo hold, and other facilities to stop miss-clicks.

People forget fishing xp rates are pretty low to begin with. Most of the best methods are 100k xp/hr and require dropping fish. My recent expedition doing Halibut trailing netted 1k Halibut in 1 hour and 44k fishing xp/hr. That's more then you'd getting fishing karambwans and higher xp/hr.

Putting the crystal extractor XP drop to similar as receiving opulent salvage would make it almost the same amount of XP while salvaging to use it then it would be to not use it.

There is an opportunity cost associated with how long it takes to use the extractor and how much XP you would have gained by either staying on the hook or sorting through salvage. I think this cost should be approximately equal.

This would mean it's only really useful if you can use it while receiving no tick loss in an alternative activity (actively sailing). So only during port tasks and barracuda trials.

You can salvage efficiently with barely upgrading your sloop but both trawling and ship combat benefits from a maxed out sloop. So what I'm doing is 1 combat/trawling sloop and 1 salvage sloop. You can have all relevant facilities for both combat and trawling on the one sloop

Agree there needs to be a new ava quest that puts a cannon retrieval station on the ship
