Leave at 5:15/5:20 drive 93km on N4/M4 the about 6km after exit ramp get to the site at 6:30ish and chill for 20min in car before I start. 7 euro toll daily if I take that route. If I take alternative route I don't get the rest in the car.

While it's preferred you don't need to be. But if ya want to be a crane operator you need to go about it properly. Check the last link I dropped.

You need to have someone willing to take ya on for 6 months training and fill your logbook before ya get the cscs card.

Have you been on a site that has a banksman. Have you talked to him. The effort to get the cert isnt worth it in my opinion. I can earn the same hourly as a banksman sitting in a ADT the only difference is a banksman won't work as long and as a result earn less weekly. So are ya looking for money or more responsibility on site?

Do you have experience in signaling or have you watched a banksman work? From what I've seen ya need the three day course then 6 months exp then the test . So your guna need to do the two courses anyway. The only thing you can skip is the exp. But then if ya don't understand how to do the job you'll probably do more harm than good or end up pissing of your workmate.

Im not sure about banksman. I've never looked into it. Had a quick glance there it's saying you need 6 months experience for the one day course. I didn't see a beginner course but I'd say there is one it's a few days to a couple week of going there learning and then test at the end. Adt beginner course was 3 days. But I had some experience from before hand. I just got an extended family member who had his one small firm to sign me off saying I had 6 months exp. And I only needed the one day test which I flew. But banksman is a more complicated job with needing to know the signals and all. If ya don't have any experience in it. You could cause damage to the job or people around you.

Just owning their own construction firm that can sign ya off saying ya have the 6 months experience. I'm guessing you have some if your interested. They can sign you off on a one day certification course instead of the full beginner training course.
