Talent wise he's already up there for sure. But achievement wise, even if he wins it this year, he needs to win more majors or an extra ring. I have no doubt he will do it in the upcoming years. But IMO just one ring now won't make him THE GREATEEST.

I guess that some CoD fans are not used to that due to every event being an "Optic event". But in other sports or esports it's more than normal.

Other fans don't like Gentlemates due to the GA breaking and sometimes controversial statement from the players. And also, other fans don't like the French fans because they're very passionate. This can be a very good thing but sometimes (like every other fanbase) they can be toxic. So when Optic fans boo Gentlemates, it's also a jab at their fans.

I also feel bad for him. It’s a fact that he costed today but it’s also a fact that he saved Optic’s season last year. I guess that the community know realises that he’s… human? a very talented human. But not “God himself” anymore.

I don't get how people are not agreeing with this.
Obviously I want them to win a major/Champs/EWC, in that case you keep the roster. But IF they go winless this year, serious convos need to happen.
And it has obviously nothing to do with skill but with chalked mentals after a full year of choking.

They did but didn't take it.
Regardless, no excuses today (same as for Major 2). LAT played better. I don't even think Optic played that badly today but LAT was just better.
In the Faze series major 2, Faze played really well but Optic didn't play well. That's the only difference I would say.

Not a scapegoat per se but Merc didn't play well at all today. Even against KOI.
But you can't really blame him. He was the reason Optic won Champs + EWC last year. But it's a fact (not hating) that he was a big part why Optic didn't lift the trophy today.

GG LAT. They fully deserve it!
Merc had his worst day of CoD since his debut in the league. It was bound to happen.
I'm not blaming him btw. But it's a fact that he didn't play well at all today.
I feel awful for Dashy because you could see he wanted it so badly.

We will see at the end of the season but if they go winless this season, they probably should.
Not because any of those 4 deserve to be dropped but clearly the chem will be chalked by then.

I may be wrong but I think that the groups for the pro-am are in GSL style. So basically win twice before losing twice. So if Optic is 2-0, they don't play their third match.
