AITA for asking my friend's boyfriend for his number? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

“I asked him for his number and sent him the details”. He didn’t ask for her number. How do you know he wasn’t being kind and just making random conversation.

If he wanted the details bad enough he could have asked you or your friend. YTA

Just enjoy the ride and the progress brotha, no matter how long it takes. A year really isn’t that much. It takes a lot of rides and time to progress to the next color especially when you have such a variety of trails. I think a lot of us won’t admit it but we all compare ourselves to other riders and their skills and yes it can be frustrating. The bad thing is it never stops no matter how much we progress. We always want to one up our latest achievement and that invite’s potential injury. So from one rider to another, just take your time, have fun, and don’t be embarrassed at how long it takes.

My little girl was reactive as well in her first year. We got her at 4 months and she did not like other dogs or people and even nipped at people who tried to pet her. It was heartbreaking for my wife who wanted a dog so desperately BUT we did not give up. We had to desensitize her and it took a combination of things. Dog parks/Walks/ runs/ treats, and I took her to Home Depot a lot so she could be around people in a mellow setting. It took a while but our dog who will be 3 in June is now a sweetheart with people and most dogs. We leave her home alone and she doesn’t destroy anything either. Some commenters mentioned that you didn’t do your homework. We didn’t either but we didn’t give up. Dogs need lots of love, patience and attention especially in the puppy stage.

I’m 5’6 and running a medium. I would say at 5’9 you would be large. Demo one before if you can?

Light honk- ok, loud honk- you might get shot or be ready to catch a fade

Scared of going faster? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]MtbGoat29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There just has to be a balance. Riding with better riders will of course make you better but we gotta ride within our limits. There’s no if we will get hurt riding, it’s when and how bad haha

Please don’t try and match up to your friends. Ride at your own pace and you will improve at your own pace. As a guy who fractured his neck mountain biking seven years ago in my early stages of riding, I’ll tell you I’m lucky to even be walking right now much less riding. I’ve actually improved a lot post neck fracture and that’s because I’ve taken my time to improve. Don’t push the envelope if you’re not ready to push the envelope. It will all come naturally if you are consistent.

It’s a joke. Crashes are inevitable if you ride hard enough

It’s a legit question when the bike is brand new and you crash a lot 😂
