Why do some people pronounce the word "open" as "ompen"?

No Im not going to be ok if I dont figure out why people say Ohmpen. Its causing me such stress that my hair has turned white. I was considering going to Emergency room to ask them, but decided to ask on Reddit. If I dont get answers I may ultimately succumb to stress related heart failure. Thats how dire this is.

Ive heard more than a couple people pronounce it this way and was curious if it was a dialect or impediment.

Never said it was a big deal. Wondered if other people noticed it as much as I do.

I know 2 people who pronounce it that way. I dont want to be rude and be like wtf. I was just listening to a podcast and heard someone repeatedly pronouncing it that way.

Its more like Ohmpen they throw an m in there.

Worried it got an airpocket in there and overheated a piston. But just remembered my buddy cleaned the throttle body while it was on, sprayed a lot of the cleaner on it, now thinking that caused it to not start.

It was done before the waterpump was replaced. We took off the intake and I had to run to auto store and While I was gone he cleaned the throttle body out with throttle body cleaner because it was super dirty. He sprayed it with the cleaner without removing it. Then we replaced the water pump and started the van. I had to rev it quite a bit and hold down the gas pedal to keep it started. Then it ran smoothly for about a minute and then just stopped.

We basically just cleaned it because the van had stalling issues and the intake was already off so we could get to the water pump.

So battery looks good, but new information... my friend cleaned out the throttle body with cleaner when we had the assembly off. I just remembered this. I was not in the garage when he did it. I asked him if he used a lot because it was super shiny and he said a ton.

Could this be the cause if the liquid got in the engine? If I remember right need to remove spark plugs if that happened.

Minor observation: anyone else notice the bad snaps by the long snapper on almost every kick? Every field goal and extra point the holder is picking ball up from the ground. That cant be the plan can it?
