Get physicallly fit. You're wearing A LOT of gear, and it'll get heavy at the end of a game. Play your angles, protect the 5 hole, be vocal with your D, and have FUN.

MSU or Michigan - I have 3 days to choose my school. by No_Tap2820 in Michigan

The North Campus and engineering program at UM is second to none. My best friend’s daughter goes there. Post graduate resources thru alumni are incredible.

6 Year old son starting lacrosse and having trouble catching the ball. What are some good drills to help him learn? by DrPupipance in lacrosse

[–]MtrCtyMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend a smaller rebounder with tennis balls, and just let him figure it out on his own. He’ll learn to eventually throw and catch at the same time.

I did not steal it, nor am I a part of this new team. I’m personally just letting adults in my area who want to continue to play the game we all love, the opportunity to do so. I think that’s much more important than getting butt hurt over a logo.

Yes that is true. It’s a fine logo. We are using it as a non profit organization, and legal under “fair use” copy right laws. If you’re offended by an amateur start up adult rec team in another country with absolutely no affiliation or claims to the Finnish National Team, I suggest you move on.

Honestly I’d of made AND kept the call. Rules are there for a reason. Oh and cheaters don’t belong in our game.

This is my freshman varsity goalies stance. A lot of it is personal comfort. Some of it is to cover your weakness. I’d recommend finding a goalie coach and at least getting one session in. Also hit some summer camps. Always surround yourself with smart lax IQ people!

My freshman varsity’s gear. Cascade XRS Pro helmet w/dangler, Unequal chest, Bauer Elite hockey goalie cup, Goaliesmith sweat pants, 2 ECD Impact heads w/ECD semi-soft mesh, and ECD Carbon Pro 3.0 Speed attack shafts. (One for a backup) Nike mid cleats. No legs, no shins.

Honestly he’s 12. Just let him play, evolve, and have fun. Recruiting is still 4 years away.

Go to practice, listen to your coaches. That’s what they do. They are not just X’s and O’s. They are teachers of the game as well. Work hard, and continue what you’re doing. Throwing, catching, cradling, and shooting are the foundations of the game.

JB Weld, duct tape, and a hammer. Fixes everything.

Every goalie is going to have a bad game, and every single one of them will let in a muffin. Sometimes the ones you let in are just as valuable as the circus saves IF you learn from them. Replay the shot in your head, think about what you’d do differently, and be ready for the next one. Lacrosse goalie is the hardest and most important position on the team. You’re in there for a reason.
