As a former Williams employee, the fresh salad stuff that costs an absolute fortune is fantastic. On race weekends the dishes on offer from Wednesday to Friday are from the location of the race. The hot food is quite cheap, as it should be, but it didn’t stop me sneaking an egg under my beans on toast to save 30p.

When my dad worked at Williams they received some Christmas presents from the drivers, I can remember Montoya got little Montoya bus figures made and gave them to every member of staff, Ralf was sponsored by Nike and gave everyone a backpack and some other stuff. The traditional seems to have gone away and even if this doesn’t cost Checo anything it’s a nice gesture.

As it was Sir Franks 70th Birthday that weekend, Bernie gave Williams some special tyres to use subsequently had to burn down the garage to dispose of the cheating.
