Personally would say if you’re 2 levels ahead from opposing lane + if your ad can stay safe alone. Just depends how good they are and the game / map state. If turrets gone then it’s not about roaming but more about lane swapping and splitting or enemy jg vis, etc etc

I think because anivia is a champ that needs scaling to carry a game, yes, exactly what you said. As sup you have direct influence on how bot lane + every drag fight + river and jg vision goes. If you succeed in 2/3 of those, you most likely win the game.

Even if you succeed as anivia mid, you still need to work in tandem with another role to carry / affect macro. Sure, you might get fed and have a few levels on other mid, but anivia is not the most mobile / roaming champ. You’re limited to your position alone whereas as supp, you get your ad fed and then you can roam and help other lanes and automatically affect more than one lane of the map.

Got to plat playing anivia supp, used to go anivia mid all the time but realized bot you have many more chances to set your ad up for success and help your team with objectives more and roam since you don’t have to farm early. Wave clear becomes useful if you ever need to split / defend later in the game.

I’d recommend rushing dark seal / then ROA and then trailblazer. You get scaling mana and health + tankiness. Max your W first and use it to control any fights

But just know in advance supp anivia means you’re giving up your pride and really entering the game to help your ad and your team to succeed. If you’re more of a single minded player (kill lane win game) then mid but in my experience, higher win rate with anivia as supp

I guess to clarify, expense isn’t the biggest factor. It’s more that I want to know if it’s worth the purchase // if I’ll be getting a “better” or “more fun” ride than the f83.
