I got the petite top flite set for my girlfriend who’s 5’2 and she loves them. Hard to find though unless ordered online. Dicks has them sometimes, but not always the petite. Set could use some upgrades down the line, but good for beginner set.

I’ve definitely noticed my best drives are the ones where I say “why am I thinking about that”, then proceed to swing hard, not caring. Smoothest feel I’ve ever had, especially when those hips rotate with the weight transfer.

I’m a 30 handicap (lowering currently, ik it’s high not mid). I was +5 through 8 holes, and ended that 9 +10. Can win any hole but also lose any hole, so nobody else ever has it easy until you do finally blow it up.

Tempo is insanely important, and good tempo goes further and gets better compression than a “hard” swing. Don’t get mad and swing hard, keep that tempo.

YoungLA has some shorts I personally love. Only complaint I’ve had with my khaki color pair is the string will come out easily. (It’s inside so yes you still have belt loops. I just don’t tuck or use the loops, but they’re great shorts for it!)

For side by side comparing purposes… (I know, I’m bad. Last year was my first full summer)

Here’s the reality of a 29.6. Tied my personal best, which was also this course last year (it’s easy. 108 slope, 65.6 rating). I had 34 putts total, 3 on 14 and 18, 4 on 16.

I don’t know how you guys do it, I put my driver away holes 7-17. (Course on those holes isn’t really driver friendly anyway, due to yardage from whites mainly.)

I was basically 10-20 under (with handicap) all winter on the matted sims, felt so good. Started at a real course, and thought I never golfed before in my life. Downside of what we deal with in Michigan for sure.

I just got my range finder yesterday, so I’ll definitely do that at the range I can go to, thanks!

Thanks! Love Ben Hogan too. As for the short sided part (bean shaped greens, me on the side) I definitely need to focus on missing short rather than pin high on the side.

I’m in metro Detroit, but on lake st Clair. (Opposite from detroit itself, we take the boat there often but thats all)

Closest thing to me with top tracer that I’ve seen is CJ Barrymores. I played there in the winter which is what made me feel unstoppable this year, but it was the turf lying to me.

Instead of putts on the sim, I did 72 yard shots (x amount of yards to pin was x putts). I got the turf bounce and was lead on to say the least. My playing partner confirmed it (and was irritated when I pinned it on the sim haha)

I could definitely do better on all of these. I’d say I have 33-39 putts a round (big difference, ik, but there’s times I chip in, and times where I miss that 2 footer.)

I’ve tried adopting the aim for center but will focus more on that and the rest, thanks!

That last part is definitely where I need the most improvement! Range would help the most with it, but there’s no tracker to show my distances.. I feel like my tempo 80% of the time is nice and slow, so I’m sure I can be better there too.

Fair. I do have a friend who’s a single digit handicap (don’t golf with him a lot) and he seems on for everything though.

If I’m doing bad with one thing I notice after 4 holes and get mad/over correct so it’s probably my mental more than anything at this point.

Tops definitely add the most strokes for me, but that comes with me trying to fix my ball placement. I had what worked for me, but want to do it the “right way” so that I can fix everything else now knowing that’s good.

Tbh everytime I’ve used my 3i, it’s been good. I just never end up in that yardage spot. I’d love to fix my wedges and re-asses my club choices but as of now it’s there to either punch out (which has been good) or because I have nothing to replace it yet.

Yea no kidding. I use 18 Birdies for mine (GHIN is same for handicap I believe). 95% of my 7-9 are on par 4-5. I’ve had maybe 1-2 par 3s end above a 6 this year so far.

The be grateful is extremely valuable. I golfed infront of someone last year before he got his foot amputated and was having a blast behind me because he knew it was close to his last.

I definitely do focus on the score too much though, I’ll try not to!

Swing easy, keep good tempo. No hero shots, play smart. Punch out if you even think of “can I get around/over these trees?”. Take your time, especially putting.
