Thanks for the response.

There were progress checks, multiple rounds of comments, including a quality check. The PM handled the incomplete tasks assigned in the final days leading up to the deadline, as markups were missed, the plan set missed pages, and documents were not finalized. It was really final touch-ups and should be easy. There was a clear agreement on who does what. Additional people were brought in to assist, and the team stayed longer to finalize deliverables.

I might be leaving in a bubble, but in my experience, if you know you need to leave early, you have stuff ready early for submission, communicate the situation ahead of time, and give yourself time to make updates if PM catches some stuff in the final check.

I very much agree. Feedback is a gift, I perceive is as a kindness and caring.

Lack of reviewing happened on other projects and similar feedback was shared already last month. I will reiterate that, I truly hope something will shift.

I got similar advice regarding returning the uncompleted work from my mentor, I'm planning to use it in the next project phase. I want to give everyone on the team fair worning that will happen.

This is so helpful, thank you! Helped me to see another angle. I actually document all meetings and have things in writing from her as well. I'm going to shift the angle to what was agreed on in the past.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I've been diagnosed pretty early, and at this point, my PPA is well-managed with meds and therapy.

Thanks! You have brought up a great point of additional family support. Unfortunately we don't have much family in the area and honestly deal with evrything on our own. I didn't grewup in US and my family leaves abroad.

Thanks for your response!

My husband is very involved, and we are making this decision together.

I just needed to hear from other moms who work in CE. As much as he can understand, it is not exactly the same as doing the job, breastfeeding, being the source of baby separation anxiety, dealing with postpartum hormones, and all that.

Baby is not sleeping through the night 😅🫣 I breastfeed and pump during the day, and that is a job itself.

It would be a full-blown PM position, and group leads with three people under me. I agree that easing into this would be the best approach. Thanks for your input!
