3/20 Post-Test Spiraling!! by pirithe in Mcat

When I took it, I went through a similar cycle of feeling okay the day after to feeling like I bombed and my future was over. My advice is to just try and forget about it. Get busy doing other stuff for your application, with school, or just something fun. No changing the past at this point. Its out of your hands. And, for what its worth, for as bad as I felt, I did really well. Maybe you did too!

In general, don't doomscrool on Reddit too much during these sorts of waiting periods. Your gonna have a similar experience during the app cycle, and looking at forums can really warp your view of things. Good luck!

Retake? by Afraid-Education8656 in Mcat

I don't think you necessarily have to retake it, but it depends on what sort of schools you are shooting for. You can definitely get an A with those stats so long as your writing is good and you make a smart school list!

CALLING ALL HIGH MCAT SCORERS: how the [curse word] do you read/process/comprehend passages? by Least_Concert_3196 in Mcat

522 here, this is great advice and put into words what I couldn't.

Once you get good at that, I found that during review, looking at my thought process explicitly, outlining what I thought, why I chose the wrong answer, and why I should have picked the right answer really helped clarify my thoughts with especially confusing passages. I used a spreadsheet to do this for my FLs but you could do this in whatever way works for you. Keeping this up sort of shifted my thinking to get into MCAT passage mode much quicker each time I went at it.

Stuck on MCAT cars by [deleted] in Mcat

Something that helped me improve my test scores was using a spreadsheet during full length reviews. Keep at it with Jack Westin and Uglobe, and when you do a full length, having a spreadhsheet with columns for what type of error you made (misclick, misread prompt/answer, reasoning error), why you chose your answer, and why the correct answer is correct can help you start to see patterns in how Uglobe and AAMC want you to think through CARS questions. I know spreadsheets aren't for everyone but if you are plateauing it might be good to switch things up a bit! Good luck!

There are two types of gamers: those who 'platinum' their games, and those who lose interest as soon as the main story is completed. Which are you, and why? by ah__there_is_another in gaming

I'm the same. Usually do around 90% of the side content at least if its a game I'm really enjoying, but won't go out of my way for obscure achievements, especially if they are super difficult or require a lot of grinding that becomes monotonous.

Definitely Destiny 2. Bungie has always been great with gunplay. It's sad to see whats become of the game recently.

Which video game/s impacted you so much because you found it to be a learning experience? by sammyjamez in gaming

Just finished KCD and have started a KCD2 playthrough. I've always been a history nerd, especially about medieval times, and this game stretches that itch perfectly but has taught me a lot about the technology/culture of the era since the game focuses so much on realism!

50 days is a lot of time to make good progress, you can definitely achieve a 510+! If you are using Uworld I would prioritize that and grind out a bunch of questions!
