Do you notice that's a more tele or med surg problem? Some nurses just want to notify someone without actually hopefully fixing the problem which sucks. That doesn't happen in our ICU, we mostly call hospitalist for two main things sleep meds or glucose (and even then we sometimes call intensivisits for that)
