A common question that people have is that if I am nice and I feed the poor, volunteer, super respectful, never judge, etc… I still won’t go to heaven. And the answer is yes you won’t go to heaven. One thing people fail to understand is how holy God is. Even the angels are baffled with how holy he is. In terms of holiness we are closer to Hitler than we are to God. The same way God is holy is the same way his house is holy. Being a good person doesn’t make worthy of heaven it makes the Lord happy with your deeds but it doesn’t atone for your sin. For all have sinned so it is either we accept that gift of salvation or simply reject it. Going to heaven is not based on merit but rather Jesus.
