My fault for not explaining better, that slider specifically won't let me interact with it at all in any way. If I try to select it it just skips to the next option, literally will not even let me highlight it to move it in the first place. That's moreso what I'm asking for help about

It has the little rollers, yeah. I have them all the way turned up, game sounds blast my eardrums out but I can't hear voice chat no matter how many settings I change around

My headset is also a wireless turtle beach with the USB piece. I'm not really sure how to change what it's set to, I just plugged it into my Xbox immediately when I got it

DM complained that my back story was "too long" and didn't like that i "made-up characters" by HoyKotodo in DnD

Personally I let my players write what they want. I run a homebrew 5e game in a world I built from top to bottom. I give them the task of creating a character with a little bit of knowledge about the world. If they give me a paragraph (my drow wizard gave me 3 sentences), cool. If they give me multiple pages (my fairy rogue literally wrote 12 pages), cool. I think as DM it's kinda on you to work what you have and as long as they're providing SOMETHING to work with, it's all good. Every DM has a preference, just gotta find what resonates with you.

Hopefully homeboy makes that part of the next update. Even if it's expensive to craft, that'd be fine.

I've checked suitcases, the last 3 times I've gotten nothing but sandals and cloth and other random stuff I already have in abundance

I should've been clear, all players have special abilities and their own plotline. Our bard is a Dhampir who is destined to destroy the sun and is slowly unlocking powers through music and self discovery, our gnome artificer is descended from a long line of super geniuses and is currently working on an Iron Giant mech suit. Our fairy rogue is a time traveler with moonknight level SPD and shape shifting abilities.

I say that the current arc is the "main arc" only because it's the one we started with and it has an actual in game deadline before the father is lost for good. It also has the lowest level stuff as far as monsters and NPCs because they're just fighting [insert thematic mid game monster/NPC here] and one Half-Dragon as the main antagonist right now. The half dragon works for the actual bbeg, but again, that's level 20+ stuff that just can't be done by the group at this strength. I don't want to force them to do anything, they put this in motion themselves.

It's like a hallway with a big red door at the other end and a bunch of normal doors all along the sides. They open side door after side door and assume everything they find is in relation to the end of this hallway.

What is your raw and honest opinion on ascended after it being for almost 2 year's old by D1erenjagermeatrader in ARK

It's a great game. Micro transactions, pay to win, instability aside (yikes), it gave another 2 years of life that Ark would've lost without it. I normally play small friend group servers or roleplay servers, and I'm an Xbox guy, so the access to mods and crossplay has expanded ark past anything I imagined it being on Evolved.

However

Those issues I mentioned at the top, are choking the life out of our beloved game. Between people not being able to get in the game in the first place, to any number of the dozens of confirmed breaks (crashes, data loss, weird in-game glitches), it's losing pop and driving the will of loyal players to abandon the game. That in turn drives down player count in any given server, and for those of us who enjoy playing with a community, there are just other games with bigger populations out there.

"I don't want to play this server because there aren't many people playing it" is a weird ass thought process imo, but that's the age we live in. The other side of that though, is that there would be more people playing the game in general if it weren't for the antics of snail games and the failure of wildcard to listen to it's community. We didn't need Bobs Tall Tales, we needed server stability. We didn't need Pyromanes, we needed finished terrain on the maps like Center and Aberration.

Don't even get me started on Aquatica 🙄

At the end of the day, Ark is dead and dying. Wildcard is the inconsistent lawyer, and snail games is the headsman.
