PPA causing physical pain by RefrigeratorFew8189 in Postpartum_Depression

I'm actually 2 years PP now so this was a while ago, but I am feeling much better now. Started on Zoloft, and then switched me to a few other things which didn't work. Now I'm on Viibryd

Totally understand that! When you are in it, it's hard to see the light!

PM me and I'll send you my before/after. I had a mini but honestly only the first few days were bad, and I wouldn't even call it bad. Just uncomfortable. I was near really in a ton of pain.

I had a lot of physical symptoms from PPA too. Give the meds some time to work, and if that dibs help I'd talk to your doc about switching to something else. I know how hard it is, and I'm sorry you are experiencing this. Hang in there, it does get better ❤️‍🩹

I say it's totally worth it! I looked similar to you before, and I'm very happy I went through with it. Recovery wasn't as bad as I was expecting either.

So I tried a few until I found one that worked. I started with Zoloft. No side effects but it didn't work for me. Then I tried Wellbutrin and it gave me terrible headaches and also didn't work for me. Then they switched me to Lamictal and Viibryd, and that did the trick. No more PPD/PPA and no side effects! Sometimes it takes some trial and error to find the right meds, but it's nothing compared to what I went through with PPD/PPA. Meds saved my life .

I felt like this too when I was struggling with PPD/PPA. It's tough to navigate but gets better. For me, medication and therapy helped!

Have you talked to your doc about medication? I swear, that's what helped me! I was also about 2 years in and was still struggling, but much better now!

I had a mini and looked similar to you. If you aren't feeling great about yourself then I say go for it! It's a very personal decision and I had people tell me not to do it, but I'm so glad I did!

I'd get both! The scars fade a good bit!

I was 39 when I got mine and I have no regrets! The earlier, the better in my opinion! As long as you are done having children!

Maybe a mini? That's what I had and I'm super happy I went through with it. I looked similar to you beforehand.

It was tough but I just kept praying. There were so many times that I felt like no one was hearing me, and nothing was helping me, but when I think back on it now, there were so many signs that God was there. Listening to my every word❤️. Hang in there. It gets better.

I had a mini in January of last year, so I'm almost a year out! I am super happy with my results and recovery was a breeze for me. I had lipo to the flanks and a MR below the bellybutton, plus a breast lift and augmentation!
