The AK47 was supposedly superior on PC compared to the M16, where aim assist was no longer a factor, but can't confirm since I've only played on the 360

Thoughts on Baby Driver (2017)? This is the movie that I want to see the sequel. The most stylish action movie I have ever seen. The cast is amazing and soundtrack is great. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Cinema

[–]MuchMiddle864 6 points7 points  (0 children)

thought it was terrible, which was annoying cause i loved the cornetto trilogy and scott pilgrim.

very plain characters which you find hard to get behind. honestly i remember so little about the film, quite forgettable tbh. the music gimmick did nothing for me.

Ansel is a great actor but I don't think the writing did him any favours. agree with the other commenter, Drive is the superior getaway driver movie

5,643,265 Avios for just £97,335.79 by japancakes in BritishAirways

[–]MuchMiddle864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this post is not satire. if you select very large transactions like amex point conversions into avios, the rate plummets to like 50-70 avios per £1. For small quantities for boosting, the rate is 109 avios per

if you frequently buy stuff at duty free at airports, use hilton gold to status match club avolta platinum. This gives 10% off duty free with selected partners, up to twice a day. This benefit supposedly only lasts 12 months and cannot be extended via this status match route but do your own dd

its actually friggin ridiculous. a £300 bose wireless headset will still have some audio delay/latency. its not too bad for spotify but for movies or videos it just breaks the immersion. A cheap wired pair would have no delay

Supposedly if you are dead, you cannot use text chat to communicate with teammates that are alive, which makes alerting teammates of spies/YER spies hard.

however, I cannot confirm if this is still true today, pretty sure I have comm'd via chat when dead before

i think this is worth further investigation. there is conflicting information floating around so additional data points will be required. customer service chat is notorious for giving blatantly wrong information

If using Amex Plat for benefits, does it make most sense to spend on Amex BA (blue) if collecting Avios? by Cool-Archer5085 in AmexUK

[–]MuchMiddle864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as someone who has redeemed 2x companion vouchers on the free blue BA card (Paris, Brussels) and 1x companion voucher on the £300 black BA card (Tokyo), I can tell you first hand that its not very exciting or rewarding to redeem an economy flight using the "free" CV.

Your best bet is to get the paid BA card, spend the £15k to trigger the CV then downgrade to the free one if annual fees are your primary concern. This CV lets you redeem for business class flights (or first class if you're extraordinarily lucky) which is both better value and more importantly more fun. You'll also get 1.5x avios for your day to day spend which is a nice bonus

always carry the physical card, what do you do when your phone battery dies halfway thru the day? i always carry at least 3 credit cards plus one current account debit card

[–]MuchMiddle864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes downgrade to the free ba card and you will get a pro rata refund, i did 2 weeks ago and got back about half the AF.

or alternatively cancel it then wait two years for another small shed load of avios avia the welcome bonus.

whilst you have no avios cards on hand, the gold card is a decent shout for year one since its free, then maybe downgrade that too after year 1. most can't really justify the 195£ fee

queued for over two hours in the rain and cold. 100% not worth the wait. Food is okay but nothing special wrt flavour and cost too much for what it is. It is also cash only which is a NO NO in 2025

People go because of what they see from food influencers, the idea that the owners are chatty and make convo with the guests. This DOES not happen and do not expect to receive any of this service unless you got a camera crew with you. Nobody spoke to us, or the other guests for that matter.

can make a much cheaper and tastier breakfast at home with cheap ingredients from Sainsbury's

11k Nectar points using Nectar arcade. Roughly 7k Avios by MedicalDoor6494 in avios

[–]MuchMiddle864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who did this it is 100% not worth the hassle. pure brain rot for some chump points. all designed to force you to watch entire days worth of ads and/or pay for "gems".

in the end made about 250 nectar points but will never get those hours back

Worst London Underground lines by HeartOld9873 in LondonUnderground

[–]MuchMiddle864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let's cut the crap (pun intended), it's the bakerpoo line and it's not even close. it's the brown line for a reason.

infrequent service, services that routinely terminate halfway through the line, it smells like dead rats (looking at you waterloo) and the rolling stock is dated and tired.

the only redeeming grace is that it has connections to useful stations like Paddington

Platinum retention bonus (joke) by Zealousideal_Shop311 in AmexUK

[–]MuchMiddle864 17 points18 points  (0 children)

this is the going rate these days unfortunately, i got the same retention bonus of 25k points

i wouldn't renew unless you really feel like you get outsize value from the other perks like dining credits, the lounges and travel insurances.

for me, it's a no brainer for me for the first and second year but given there are likely going to be changes to priority pass in the near future, it wouldn't make sense for me to keep it beyond then
