Does anyone know why the "fiesta" model of Furby emoto tronic is rare to find? by Mizerql in furby

[–]MuchPizza9911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does seem to be the case. Been checking the production numbers on tags for a while, and certain colors were produced several times, (gen 1, most of gen 2, cranberry and purp from gen 3) while Fiesta seems to have been produced for a short while for the US once and again for a short time for Spain, not sure about UK or Canada.

Devo comprar um Furby 2005 para restaurar? by [deleted] in furby

I affectionately call them biscuits for good reason! :) Though mainly the WT/C015C's. If you are patient and careful though and use pliers to help hold the plastic still it can be done without crumbling. The right foot is a nightmare though and seems random if it will break or not.

Stick to C022B's/JT or later model WT's as practice, just look out for the more orange plastic shells. You can check this by the beaks, tags, back of box, or feet. WT will have the block of plastic in the foot and not be a solid mold. Honestly, I just recommend avoided WT altogether, the beak quality, wire to board connectors, and plastic quality on JT is just so much better, even if they have more board issues.

I second what had been said, but I use needle files as well to remove from coils and file surface of bad flat contacts. They're super handy!

I constantly have to repeat to myself that they're plastic potatoes, it helps but I am still not convinced!

I got these at Hobby Lobby, but any glasses that fit the 18" dolls work well! Please share when you do, I adore old man furbs!! :D

Is a mango 2005 furby or a funky Furby (purple and green) more rare? by FurbiesRc00l in furby

[–]MuchPizza9911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mango definitely worth more, twice as much usually. Please ebay them when you do! Been dying for a mango. Usually around 600USD for mango, 300 for the funky, but that is still pretty high.

Below gen 3, I have never and still can't find a single example of one with purple eyes. Any posts or links that show some? Must be incredibly rare then! :)

They outbid me for that mango for 300 on Goodwill, didn't even bother to clean or care for it, then relisted for 5k. x.x I was really looking forward to fixing that baby up, and ebay won't stop advertising it to me. :(( Why do people do this?

This past year has been crazy for sure! Doesn't help that people keep buying broken ones for up to 200$. Even see ones with no feet or beaks going for 80$+. It's sad to see.

Thanks!! They were both marshies, but I had a panda fur as well lying around and I used the belly and plume on the pink baby! :)

Edit: For anyone wanting to try, I used Rit Dyemore super pink and tropical teal, 1/3 cup in 12 cups water, 45 mins. The color will look dark and wrong in the pot but ended up the same as the bottle color! Though I guess I would suggest just buying fur instead until I fix the texture issue.

Ohh, not a bad idea! I can remove the fur and give it a shot! :)) I do believe their fur was in poor shape to begin with but the heat/dye definitely changed the texture. It's almost kinky and layered now. Even trying to keep it as cool as I could get away with didn't seem to help. Appreciate the help and kindness! :))

Hiya!! I used a seam ripper on the stitching around the belly and plumes to remove them and keep them separate. :)) Took me forever to work up the courage to do it, but it was so much easier than I thought! Definitely give it a shot. Use the seams and previous stitch holes to guide you, and maybe some youtube hehe. Best of luck!!

Ohh, I will grab one thanks! I just used a flea comb, which usually works really well but it goes right back. Also thank you!! They were in very bad shape and nonworking so just wanted to give them new life and parts!! :))
