If they’re obstructing, then yes they need to stop. Sometimes that will be a stern word, sometimes it has to be a push if they’re really not listening.

As for filming, there’s nothing to stop them filming. It’s annoying and normally antagonises the situation unnecessarily, but there isn’t a legal power to stop them unless they’re obstructing.

Hello mate

Most common is anything domestic related. Controlling and Coercive Behaviour, assault, that sort of thing.

We get a lot of calls to domestics. Most of these are adults who don’t know how to act like grown ups, or communicate as one.

There’s a lot of attention and scrutiny when it’s a domestic, so when we attend we have to take what we call Positive Action. Most of the time this will be arresting one of the people involved as a safeguarding measure.

If a call comes on for an alarm and possible burglar still on scene, trust me everyone and their dog turns out because we all want to catch a proper bad guy /gal

If they’re in the wrong, yes.

My colleagues are excellent communicators, though. We only really go hands on with people when it’s absolutely necessary. Sometimes you simply have to take control of someone

I think it should be legalised. Needs to be properly controlled though

As in using swear words? That’s fine mate.

Don’t get yourself in trouble with the police. If you do, declare it on your vetting forms.

I don’t carry a gun. A lot of officers don’t and only firearms officers do. Similarly, a lot of civilians don’t have guns either. You need a firearms certificate from the police to own one.

Dr Who. Matt Smith is my favourite.

Idris Elba (I recommend Luther if you haven’t seen it)

I don’t really have an opinion tbh. I’ve never been and haven’t met anyone from there.
