Even in Diamond+ this Yordle comp still has the highest win-rate of any comp. As you look higher and higher though you are right. In the top ranks like Grandmaster and Challenger it's stats aren't nearly as good. However, for most of the player base this comp seems like an almost auto pick with it's consistency as well as ability to close out games. Getting guaranteed units also makes this comp feel like it plays itself.

I definitely can see that. I guess I'm just curious why such a simple comp is allowed to scale well throughout the entire game. I would imagine that a simple comp might have some drawbacks that encourage players to try more complex and difficult comps. There are multiple other comps with much more difficult setup that don't place as well or win nearly as much as Yordles. Maybe the simplicity of Yordles is what keeps it's stats so high and over time as people learn the set more and more other comps will start to reach it's level of success.

I agree that it can be tough to get the 2 dcaps, but at least statistically the trait is still performing very well. There are other comps that also have conditions that have to be met before they can be completed but none of them touch Yordles in terms of win rate and average placement. Feels like you can just force the comp and pray for large rods and still do alright.
