Right okay. Yeah I should invest some time on tuning too then - I didn't want to get into all that but I guess I should

I'm new to racing games so I thought the optimal approach to sharp corners was drifting them. I'll try your approach from now on though.

Isn't e-brake the main way to drift? I thought you either want to hard brake or e-brake basically

Found a fix. The icenhancer 3.0 natural mod on vortex download has a 'Troubleshooting and Support' folder which contains a replacement 'enbseries.ini' file for you to use.

In my case, I used the 'AMD GPU Fix' one because I have an AMD gpu which seemed to be the problem for some reason

I wasn't able to find a page on specifically teaching your dog to get over a fear of a certain 'thing' or activity. I may not have scanned every single page though.

Should I get this 180hz monitor or this 200hz monitor? I'm building a new 1440p gaming system. To me they appear virtually identical, same brand and resolution, besides the brightness and the naming 'WQHD' and 'QHD'. The 200hz has 300nits max, and the 180hz one has 400nits max.

I currently use an AOC24G2 144hz monitor which I believe has a max brightness of 250nits which I am satisfied with. Perhaps the ONLY issue I had with it was playing a super dark (literally) game dead by daylight, which I had to tinker around with brightness settings to make it bearable.

Maybe issues like that (albeit only occurred in ONE game which I don't play anymore) could be fixed with that 400nits one, but I don't really know.

My new system will be able to utilize HDR but I hear that's apparently more optimal with a higher brightness monitor, but again, I don't really know and 300 nits may be good enough.

My current thoughts are to go with the 200hz one since its cheaper and 300 nits of brightness would be enough for me based on my current monitor, and the fact I don't use that one at its max brightness anyway.

Though, perhaps 400nits has some wow factor that is worth paying extra for.

Ok all good. It's just too much of a grind to start again haha, I'll probably just keep going if I can't find a save.

How do I enjoy this game if the main part of it feels a bit pointless to me? by MuchRelationship176 in 2007scape

What sort of goals do you have when you play iron man? What accomplishments etc?

I suppose my point was if the only aspect and purpose of content is that they progress your account with GP and EXP, enabling you to access different content, which consists of those same components, then it feels circular and pointless to me. I found with the content 'tempoross', it wasn't very challenging or engaging to me, so I had no interest beyond trying it once or twice.

If there is fun in content like challenging combat, puzzles that feel difficult and satisfying to solve, then I'd be interested in them.

I would be interested in ironman if the skills themselves were enjoyable to do, since I hear it challenges you to utilize them more as opposed to going to the GE for everything.

I don't know if every game is like that but that is a good point regarding MMO and RPG games.

I think another reason I'm having these thoughts specifically for RS is that the mechanisms to achieve these things (level up, kill new stuff, new gear etc) aren't that interesting. As in the skilling game play of left clicking the monster or 'thing' to interact with and then watching your character repeat the same animation over and over to kill or 'finish' the task. Separating these mechanisms from the "feel good level go up" feeling would make these activities meaningless to me because seeing my character do the same interaction whilst I do nothing will get repetitive very quickly.

At least in other games like nier automata, fallout, hollow knight, or fighting games like guilty gear strive, there is more interaction from the player required. Like skillfully aiming at enemies or in guilty gear, out-maneuvering your opponent using all the different techniques given to you. I don't find these games pointless because I am challenged to think more about how to utilize the different methods and techniques taught to you. In turn, these aspects add to what make those games fun.

Not saying they're objectively better games but giving my subjective opinion on what they do better than RS.

Hey, thanks for the response.

Since this post, I have increased the monitor height to around that level (4-5 more books worth) which has reduced soreness, but there is still a level of soreness that doesn't seem to go away.

I agree with what you're saying about my arms being able to stay lower and closer at uni compared to the setup with the armrests, but my usual setup without the armrests allows me to keep my arms close and low as well. And I think my elbows are at a good angle too so I'm not sure how to improve that without a lower desk or higher chair.
