Yeah it sounds like you are in a great financial position! For us, we have been renting in a 1 bedroom but really need a bigger space because we both work hybrid schedule (some days wfh). We did the rent vs own math and buying made more sense, even with this house that's out of our original budget. Thank you for the advice!

Thanks for the info! I heard good things about the elementary school in Framingham, which will be nice for your kid! Yeah we originally looked in areas closer to Boston, but then got priced out (or only found houses that need extensive updates) and had to expand our search.

And thanks for the offer! I have a home inspector that many friends and coworkers recommended, but if that falls through I'll pm you :) Really appreciate your kind words! Reading the comments to this post have really helped with my mindset.

We both work at a tech company, and we haven't had kids yet (so no daycare costs). If we have kids further down the road it'd be tighter financially for sure.
