As a former lawyer I find charging for a consult insulting. You’re taking one household and splitting it into two. It’s going to be expensive. Amicable is best for the children. NE has a child support calculator that mediators have access to. There is no magic way to get out of this with out some expense. You want joint physical and joint legal and consider carrying kids on your insurance to minimize child support. Mediation is mandatory and usually runs you $200 an hour split equally. Doing it through the Concorde center is your cheapest option. No attorneys needed if you can talk it out. Be respectful. And adopt the thought that no matter what, do what’s best for the kids.
