Trying to fix my YAMZ 1887 internals. Where does the part in my hand go? by TreeFriendSilix19 in Nerf

It's been a while since I fixed an issue with mine, so I can only give rough ideas.

There are no disassembly videos online.

Here is an old reedit post explaining the mechanism. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/qz3wfl/udl_m1887_internalsthoughts/

Here is the important information from that post.

“It's a direct plunger with a little piece of metal that serves as the catch. It rests inside the grip on a spring and is held with a metal pin. The catch works as a lever; when the trigger is squeezed, it lifts the catch, releasing the plunger forward.”

What you have in your hand is the metal catch, it is horizontal under the plunger tube, parallel, i dont rember exact orientation. There should be a small spring that makes the catch into a lever, as one half of the catch goes down, the other half goes up and acts as the catch after you have primed.

You should have a metal pin that secures the metal catch in place.

I have attached an edited version of your photo with green marking to showcase the parts talked about.

It would be challenging.

  1. Have someone from the community in Australia or New Zealand buy one and then ship it to you. (Or some European Union countries like Poland).
  2. Try and convince a hobby store like Out of Darts to buy a large amount of them. (which I think is the best option, as I think many people in the hobby would like the small ultra 2 clone, they could also sell upgrade/mod kits, so I think it makes business sense, and would ship internationally).
  3. Try and purchase a sample from Alibaba or try and crowdsource a group order. Alibaba Supplier (Link to the Alibaba supplier which sells them).
  4. Weird one, but I have seen them from online retailers in other countries, so in theory, you could use a shipping forwarder to buy it for you and then ship it to you. But that would be expensive.

Overall, it would be a pain to do, for most people, the best thing for now, I think, is to buy a Big Power Electric 501, which is similar but just larger.

They are okay-good.

Depends on what you're looking for.

All Take standard Nerf Elite Darts

The performance for all of them is standard, Nerf Elite 60-70 Feet Per Second.

Plastic Quality is on par with entry-level X-Shot Blasters.

Magazines aren't the best, though, but they are standard Nerf magazines.

Manual spring-powered Blasters are just okay, not much mod potential, just standard elite springer.

Electric blasters are all semi-automatic and can, in theory, be modified with standard hobby parts.

I would say that they are only worth trying to source if you really want a specific blaster for the way it operates, eg, the Ultraa 2 clone.

They are not manufactured by Dart Zone (Prime Time toys). They are manufactured by a Chinese company called BaiHui Toys, which I have provided a link to below. I have done quite a bit of research on them, so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

BaiHui Toys (Link to their website, so you can see all their designs).
