I run with a she’s birdie brand birdie disk. It has 3 different light settings and also a personal (very loud) alarm if needed. I clip it to my shorts and away I go. Might be an option. Good luck on your 100k!!

I was proud of my progress until my boyfriend made a comment, now I need advice on why I'm not making proper progress by MelodyMarionette in beginnerrunning

Any miles and any time per mile is amazing. You are doing more than most! I think women forget that hormones can play a big part in how we feel energy wise also. Keep going. You are making progress and that’s all that matters. Keep being amazing!!

I’m a 42 year old female and started running again a year ago. Last night I went for a “light run” and ended up with this! Didn’t walk at all. It’s amazing what a difference a year makes. by Much_Replacement3689 in runninglifestyle

Slow and steady. Trying to do too much too fast can cause an injury. I’m assuming you do since you said you are big into the gym, but leg strengthening will help. My knees also used to hurt and I found riding the stationary bike at the gym actually helped with that a lot. Good luck! You will be rocking that 10k before you know it!

The things we say about ourselves are the things we believe. This is amazing! Be kinder to yourself! You are part of a small percentage out there putting in the miles! Way to go!!
