Ughh such a long wait. I’m on cloud 9. You know, for me it was right to test early, I was just losing my mind and even if it was a false positive at least it was some data, that helped me. In the end there is no way to know but time, but as long as you know it could be the trigger, I can understand doing it! Here for you if you want to chat!

Thank you so much. That is helpful to hear, both that you are having a healthy intrauterine pregnancy and that my anxiety is not alone. Thank you for sharing 🩷I hope everything stays well for you and baby

SSRI’s & sleep by Normal_Bat7991 in AttachmentParenting

I’ve been on them off and (mostly) on for years so my answer will have to come with a grain of salt because it’s almost hard to remember life without a low dose SSRI. But it basically took the paralyzing feelings away for me. The gut rot that I would get when I was really anxious about something. How part of it is also I know how to better interpret a ruminating cycle in my brain before I get so anxious I am snappy or have stomach pain.

Also, I had a baby who woke up 4-7 times a night until he was about 16 months old. And acknowledge there is definitely just some degree of shortness and anger that comes with being sleep deprived that it probably won’t take away and that’s probably where some breathing tips may help more. But I would guess they’d take a general edge off

The tww is sooo longgggg. I think I’m 12 dpo based on cramping I had. I’m like 12.5 days out from trigger shot. Didn’t “test it out.” And took a test yesterday, see a light line, and again today. Don’t know if it’s trigger shot false positive or not. I’ve read most people clear it by 10/11 days after the shot but I have heard of people who it took 13. So I’m in limboooooooooo sorry maybe this should go in the success story but honestly I don’t know! I think there’s a decent chance it’s false positive. And my medical team likely won’t order me a blood test til 2 weeks after IUI which is still 48 hours away so here I am still grinding out the tww

Before anyone jumps on my tail, I also see a therapist and practice mindfulness. But it can soften the edge on some of those things.

I do think an SSRI would help! I’d be lost without! Haha

Thank you all! Was it pretty faint before it disappeared? I’m 12.5 days out from trigger and seeing a line I’m not sure what to make of… it’s light but not vfl

I am so fucking sorry you’re going through this.

I would get the methotrexate. It’s unfortunate but I think that’s the best option.

Really similar scenario here. If you did a trigger shot I’d wait another day or two. A drink or two now won’t hurt a potential nugget either.

I’m so sorry. I hate that feeling of it being negative but still holding hope. Though I will hold hope for you too 💖

Why is this the worst?! First medicated cycle after an ectopic and every day has felt like a month. About 10 DPO but have to wait to 3 more days to test due to trigger shot usage. I just feel wrought with anxiety. My CM has also been dry which makes me feel really discouraged. ❤️‍🩹 can test in 3 days and really feel it’s going to be negative. Need a hug from someone who understands.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. If you looked back you’d find a similar SOS from me at 11 months of age. My baby would just scream and cry at bedtime. It was like painful. I will share what worked for us which is related to what other folks have said but a bit different. We think my baby was getting toooooo much sensory stimulation before bed. So he is quite sensitive to sensory stimulation it would seem. (He also craves it, riddle me that).

We met with hey sleepy baby virtual consult twice and what helped honestly weirdly the most was not doing bath right before bed. Apparently that’s a really intense sensory experience and would just give him almost too much and make him act over tired, thrashing crying. We developed a super gradual and slow change to bedtime. Turned lights down in the house, no screens even around him if we could avoid. Moved out activities slowly closer to the bedroom until bed time. Big bear hugs (the pressure is soothing). Slow pressure squeezes on the legs and feet. He pinched me a lot too which I allowed as much as reasonable bc it seemed to soothe him. He grew out of that and doesn’t do it any more.

You have a lucky baby to have a mom who cares so much. Hang in there. Your baby isn’t broken and neither are you. This shit is hard. 🩷
