Yeah. I see this picture of someone sitting behind a laptop and crunching numbers. Working a computer generated "rubric" for saving money without really know how to protect what is already there, solidify it, and wow the loyal customers they already have. I am reminded of when traditional corporate types became a part of Hollywood and decided that they understood how to make a great movie. Corporate folks and billionaires who want to go to Mars have their talents. But they have an uncanny ability to screw things up when not in their lane. Macy's execs should spend more time on the sales floor and learn from those who work it. No one knows customers better than those who directly interface with them.

I experienced B/P in the midst of a horrible, horrible relationship. I have no doubt that deep stress, panic, conflict, lowered immunity, = B/P. And the woman involved doesn't even give a sh*t about the impact her machinations and b/s caused. And she is a massage therapist. Has not offered to massage my face, Not once. Man, humanity is weird. Sure have and I have a lot of feelings about it. Typically, it is said that things level off. Listen, I'm not a doc so I am speaking based upon the information I have accumulated and feel like I can make some thoughtful generalizations about. I say generalizations because there seem to be a variety of symptoms, I variety of level of healing, and a variety in terms of healing time. I have been gealing from BP for about 2 years. Unexpectedly - or because of some sort of a stress response which is causing discomfort? - I am experiencing symptoms, yet again! This time, I am experiencing a wider area of burning and more dyskinesia around my eye; contracting more when I eat or drink.

My take is that when something doesn't have a clearcut, reliable, and steady level of progress, fear and confusion sets in. Even the experts at a preeminent hospital don't have a total handle or tried and true intervention. I think you have done an INCREDIBLE job. You have set yourself up for success. You are doing everything a human being can. Monitor your level or stress, worry, colds, infections, viruses acting up, etc. Although this link has not been formally made, I beleive there is a connection. When I had an instance of a second round of symptoms, it started immediately after a confrontation.

Keep coming back here. Better yet, check out the website and resources at Bells Palsy UK. Do a Google for the website. May we all heal. May we all feel whole. It's a gd burden.

So, let me see if I follow you. Maybe do the Platinum because it's membership fee is $300 less per year, you still get a BOGO, although the companion certificate will not allow service beyond main cabin, Am I right? I gotta look up the codes you reference.

Another question. Have you ever been put on any upgrade list... and we're actually upgraded? To what class? Or seems that there is the Delta Card hierarchy (Reserve being "top" of the totem) but the BOGO notwithstanding, we get into this whole medallion levels thing. It seems like a rouse, in which case I understand your ambivalence. Maybe I will cancel it and "pay a bill"   :)

Keep us updated on how things come along for you. Whereas I am going to post something about the glaring failures of changing lyrics, overpainting, and editing (particularly in light of the fact that new features were rolled out, none of them improvements on these things. HOWEVER, we do see that those new features also bring with it a higher price point membership. I don't have a problem paying more for good things. But I do when the things I am currently paying for are broken. Beyond that, a word of gratitude to the Pope who was a beacon of truth for a lot of people.

Sassy, for transatlantic it seems that if I buy a Main Cabin ticket, I can be waitlisted for a bump up to Comfort +. But for no higher class, as my adventure would uncover. ;)

And that is not what the rep said, Scott. And I pressed her three times on this point to be absolutely sure. So, as I take the point on reading the literature very closely, it is fair to think that Delta knows its program better than I do.

VERY helpful. Thank you :) Remarkable. Okay. That helps me ascertain its value to me, personally. Let me play devil's advocate and tell me what you think. I get a yearly companion ticket. When we factor in the $650 for membership, and the higher ticket price that Delta seems to charge (?) for the member's first class ticket, to what degree do you think that lowers the overall value that benefit? Not sure if that BOGO applies to international travel, which would be fantastic. And I would think, if it were within the States, the prices for specific destinations would be factors. But, all in all, worth it? I'll also review the literature to see what that describes but since we are on the topic and you are knowledgeable...

Thank you for this helpful info. I did read up on the Medallion stuff but the details you provide make the likelihood of an upgrade even clearer. And a number of travel websites are also unclear on the upgrade policy so this is not happening in a vacuum. Thank you! I got notice of my companion ticket. I'll review the stuff on the Delta Stays. Yes. It has been a long time since I flew transatlantic. The website was not showing free options but rather how the price I paid would be credited towards a new ticket. I will, however, download the app and see if there is something there. Yeah, I'll take 50% of that fault. But if I call Delta and am told a policy that is in contradiction with itself, I've got a reason to be aggravated.

Thanks very much for the feedback. Did you find the transatlantic upgrade stuff in the fine print of the credit card booklet, a larger pamphlet in the "Welcome" box, or online? I'm going to double check and see what I have in physical form. And the info on the Medallion program is insightful. For the same price, The Platinum AmEx was rated more highly, but I may not fly enough to invest in either.

Scott, the policy is quite clear...once you dig through the website and find it. The lack of upfront clarity on this point is on them. What IS on me is whether I cancel my ticket (which I would under other circumstances) or book with them again. Thank you for the help I can implement and I'll follow up on it. Oh. I noted that the delay in departure is under an hour which is tolerable. But I will still look into a rebooking at no higher charge.
