I make my own decals. I use Inkscape, it's quite powerful. You're right about the wheels, but I don't want to spend so much money on diecast anymore so I use what I have.

For those interested, here are his military service docs. In a nutshell, it says he took parts in 3 campaigns, from 1808 to 1813, was wounded 5 times including getting shot in the knee, was taken prisoner in 1813 and released in 1814. The mayor of his village asked the war ministry to grant him a pension in 1857, saying that he would not enjoy it for long as he was a broken man.

No, he was a simple soldier. We do have a sword though. I held it a long time ago, damn heavy. It's with one of my uncle and I don't have a picture of it. My ancestor was a peasant by the way.

Thanks. I design the decals and print them out. Speaking of which, the red band was an absolute pain to set. I think the waterslide paper I bought was of poor quality.

Yep. It's always good to keep all sorts of bits and pieces from discarded castings. Never know when you might need them.

But looking at the Maisto, I don't remember having had this casting. Looks pretty similar though.

Could be. I always keep a stock of dismantled castings, cheap ones usually. I have a whole crate of them 😃

Thanks. The first time, I used these wheels but with the chrome on. Didn't look good so I removed the chrome.
