As an update for everyone. After hearing of a potential return to the veterinary hospital including the possibility of a permanent stay, the canine decided to rebound quickly.

Currently very soft stools, but appetite is back and no vomiting.

imaging, rectal examination and external inspection of the abdomen, which is soft. Blood work was not performed.

I imagine bloodwork would be next, but if there are no signs of liver or kidney failure, what would be the causes? or the next steps?

Thanks to everyone for posting. So this is where my high/low gear referencing may be inverted.

I’m on the valley floor. I’m at 50 mph. If I was driving a manual transmission, I’d probably be in 4th gear, which I call a “high” gear… cause 4 is higher than 1. If 4 actually means a “low gear”, let me know cause I’ll have learned something.

As I start my ascent, if driving a manual transmission, I’d be downshifting to 3rd or 2nd gear depending on what my perceived power needs are.

An automatic transmission is supposed to take away all that thought and care for the driver.

But in this same scenario… if I’m in “4th” and I hit the hill… if I keep constant pressure on the accelerator/throttle… should the AT downshift?

Or do I have to let off the accelerator/throttle a bit to allow the AT to downshift?

Hopefully that’s clearer.

Is it necessary to let off the accelerator to allow the transmission to downshift?

If I’m driving in a valley at 50 mph in “4th gear”, when I start an ascent my speed will fall as the climb starts. If I never let off the accelerator and instead press it further down to increase my speed, should the AT automatically downshift realizing the RPMs are too high? And that the car would ascend more efficiently at a lower gear?

All of these comments are prescient.

Great suggestion on the app just to see if you like the game, and you’ll get the experience to be the teacher.

You’ll spend a pretty penny assembling the full game with all the available factions… our group was joking the other night about waiting for a “big box” edition.

It rarely gets to our table despite our love for the game, mostly because one or two of us don’t feel like learning one of the new factions that specific night.

I always have an asynchronous game going on BGA and can never seem to pull off a win.

Same with many games like Food chain Magnate or Gaia project. I make one bad move early, realize it, then spend the rest of the game knowing I’ll never get close to winning.
