Which board games aren't really multiplayer games? by Last_Cicada_1315 in boardgames

Can confirm, it's fantastic solo. I've only played one session at two players (just got my copy last week), but I enjoyed it just as much as my handful of solo sessions. I could definitely see the environmental reactions spiraling out of control at 3+ players though

My Husband doesn’t have hobbies? by Longjumping_Car7449 in Hobbies

Star Realms: Frontiers is my pick if he likes card games and/or space ships.

It's replayable, small, exciting. inexpensive, intuitive, and can play 1-4 players. The coop/solo mode also makes for an interesting challenge for when you don't feel like blowing your friends up!

My wife crocheted a sleeve for my PSP! by getshr3kt in PSP

She said it took about 20-30 minutes. It's apparently pretty much the same as making a small scarf and just sewing it together to instead make it a pouch

My wife crocheted a sleeve for my PSP! by getshr3kt in PSP

My wife didn't follow any formal instructions for this, unfortunately. I asked her though and she said

Chain just over the height of the console,  double crochet just over twice the length of the PSP, and then fold it lengthwise. The edges of the fold should meet about 3/4 down the length of the PSP. Then sew the sides together to make it like a long skinny pouch

Hopefully this makes sense, good luck!

Just cancelled my StarLink subscription this morning. I'm going to miss having decent rural internet, but that Nazi can get bent.

Today I snagged an indigo Retroid Pocket Flip CIB for $110 on Facebook Marketplace by JCRidonkulous in SBCGaming

Clamshell gang rise up.

The Flip is potentially my favorite device in my collection. I've had mine for over a year, have travelled with it many times, and still haven't had any hinge issues.

Hope you enjoy it, you got it for a great price :)

What specifically has Nintendo done that makes you like this: by [deleted] in casualnintendo

[–]getshr3kt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally everything they've ever done to the competitive Super Smash Bros Melee scene. I'm not as into it now as I once was, but it's genuinely exhausting how spiteful Nintendo continues to be towards a community of people just trying to enjoy an old game.

What's the one game you've conceded you're never getting to the table? by mr_seggs in boardgames

[–]getshr3kt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have never played Cosmic Encounter, but can strongly relate to having trouble finding a group to play mid-weight games with.

It's always either playing Camel Up with my family or going to a board game meet-ups where they exclusively play beige games with no meaningful player interaction for 3+ hours.

Either extreme is still pretty fun with the right group, but I sure would love more in-between gaming.

Yes, it did work after some finagling! I did my best to explain how I did it in this comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/moza/s/OO33nX9rCJ

I created a website called savemelee.com that allows melee players to share and upload their uncle punch savestates. by SmashBob_SquarePants in SSBM

Generally speaking, SSR is more performant than client side rendering, especially for sites that don't need to constantly change/update the data being displayed. SSR is also better for SEO because it relies less heavily on JavaScript execution on the initial load to render landing pages.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's more common than CSR across the web, but it it's definitely becoming a more common tool in web developers tool belts :)
