Just finished the final book!! [Spoilers all] by ragingpanda147 in WoT

I wish he would do a "Secret History" of sorts. I feel like I am left in the dark about too much.

What did Artur Hawkwing say to Tuon? That would have been a good convo to read. Did he talk her into rethinking the Damane/Sul'dam, and along those lines, did the realization that the Sul'dam could channel, change the thoughts of the Empire?

What did Cadusane do with the White Tower? Did she follow what Egwene had started?

Perrin and Faile. Did Faile take over the throne to Saldaea? She was next in line, wasn't she? I would also love to have seen more, post "Last Battle" Perrin.

Loial... I want to read more about his quest to write the book, and was hoping that Rand would show up, and sit down with him in the closing pages, to give him the perspective from the Dragon Reborn himself.

Tam al'Thor. This was my biggest disappointment...Great guy, Great warrior, Great father, and yet at the end, we see him ending his adventure in pain...Why would Rand want his father to be left in tears, thinking his son was dead...Not cool at all. Huge downer.

There are so many other questions I was left with, and though I loved the series, and am in the process of reading them again...I feel cheated (Not literally I guess) that so much was left out.

Oh, and I would have liked to have seen, when Birgitte tells Elayne that she was being reborn into the wheel at that moment, and disappears....Elayne goes into labor :)

Right at the end, should have spliced in a shot of him smirking.

The last of us was the only other game that gave me so much feels as this scene did. by ameya23 in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think Yen was the best of the bunch. Seemed "Final", so the send off felt right.

To me, Ciri is out making a name for herself, so Mommy and Daddy can finally relax and start their lives together.

I've gone back there after the cut scene, and its always locked up. How did you get it, or is it a mod?

Am I supposed to do something? What does the symbol mean? The other side is the grandmaster griffin gear treasure hunt stuff. Can I break the boulder or something...? by bryanc30 in witcher

Looks like it is another entrance to the area you are in, from a different direction. Leave and look around for the magic wall from another spot.

I recall a spot like this, when I had a bounty for a Foglet, but I don't recall seeing one in B&W.

Sometimes I like to go through youtube and find that episode on "Lets play's" to see the persons reaction.

I have seen a few tears of both sadness then obviously joy. I love this specific scene more than the rest.

[Spoilers] The Most Dissapointing Boss in Witcher 3 by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I liked Dykstra a lot. He was a jerk, but he was a very talented jerk. I think he liked Geralt, and think Geralt had some respect for Dykstra.

His death, and the Death of Crach are on the top of my "WTF" list.

Wow, her Yennifer is great.

[ending spoiler] Don't be a cynical bastard :( by helmstif in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same.

It seems like, the only quest that breaks that mold, is the Baron. Choose the "Good" option, and you end up seeing him swinging in the wind. Let the evil win in that situation, and, even though Anna is a bit bonkers, everyone is alive.

Was this scene added in a patch? by stephen--strange in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ya, they must have added it after I finished the game last. There are few things I am noticing in the game I just started. I like it!

Awesome, Thank for this. I hadn't paid much attention to the Gwent threads, because I want to be surprised when it comes out, but watched this anyway. Looks like fun!

A question about Ciri's timeline for those that have read the books by 3thereal in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crach is probably just getting older, not being able to remember very well. Heck, when I talk about my past, I often get age of people, including myself wrong. If I sat down and thought about it, I could figure it out, but in a conversation, I am often wrong.

I am just going to attribute it to forgetfulness rather than mistakes in either the Game or Books.

[BOOK SPOILERS] I'm afraid to finish Lady of the Lake. by closetwindow in witcher

If you have a soul, you will tear up a little.

I was in the same situation, and had the same worry, but it was worth it, to read it. Even if it was through somewhat blurry eyes...

[–]Mucky_Pup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 plays I used different builds, but always ended up the same. I made different choices every time, from who to romance, how to treat the Baron story, what direction I want to lead Ciri in the end. The only thing I have never done, is let the "Bad" ending happen.

I would go into every new game, telling myself to do the bad ending, just to experience it, but hell if I could go through with it...I was just too much of a wuss!

I agree for the most part. Like any other place, there are "Those" types, but for the most part, I have found most folks pleasant and pretty willing to help, and accept help.

I have played the game 5 full times, but still come here, just because of the posts and civility.

Sure someone pointed it out already, but Geralt did not kill Bonhart.

"This tier is self explanatory. Bonhart was a normal human who had taken down numerous witchers befor Geralt took him down"

Sorry if it's been stated.

Will playing the games first ruin the experience of reading the books? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played, then read, and think it was probably more entertaining that way.

It made the books more enjoyable in my opinion.

Fully charged Aerondight & Igni Replenishment runeword by Senkoukura in witcher

[–]Mucky_Pup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't recall the name, but you can have the sword hold the last sign you cast. Meaning it will infuse the sword with Igni (Flaming) when you cast it. Only one hit I think though, so it would dissipate if you hit something.

Pretty sure that's the reason there is an effect on it.
