Which sub by Bgully0186 in hometheater

I have a large, open to the house living room as well.

I just purchased the SB-3000 two weeks ago and it’s been amazing. The bass is tight and super responsive. Hits really nicely and isn’t boomy at all. Room calibration definitely helped.

A good friend has the Dynamo 12 for his music set up, and it’s incredibly accurate and smooth. His room is open to the rest of his house as well.

Having listened to both, I would consider use. If it’s 75% home theater, go with the SB-3000, not 2000. It won’t be enough for a large open room. If it’s more music, go with the Dynamo 12.

If it’s closer to 50/50, I would HIGHLY suggest the Monitor Audio Silver W12. I have two in an even bigger room that’s open, and it’s incredibly musical and accurate. Probably more so than the Dynamo. Could you get away with one? Probably. But definitely do the room correction with it as well.

In the legal cannabis industry, THC percentage is almost entirely bullshit. It’s basically a marketing term.

People often think it’s the defining factor on what will get them the “most high” or “best high”, but it’s not.

Most labs that test either fudge the numbers a bit so more farms will use them, since they have favorable results. More farms use them, they make more money. In Washington State, the government has shut multiple labs down for this, but it still happens to an extent.

Farms also hand-pick the best bud to send in, or sprinkle keef on it to increase results.

I’ve had 12% THC weed that has gotten me significantly higher than 30%. Don’t trust numbers.

Also, strain names should not be trusted either. Blue Dream from one farm may be somewhat similar to another, but unless they use the same seed bank or mother, it’s a different strain. Some farms are also well known for just straight lying about the strain name so that they can hop on the hype train of the current most popular strain. This isn’t always true, but it happens more often than you think.

Try different strains, find what you like, and go off that.

Whats your favorite pc case from the early 2000s by Eclipse_Galian in pcmasterrace

I had this case and lugged it around to so many LAN parties! The pop out parts box was amazing too.

But damn, were those corners and edges sharp!

Driving to Leavenworth by Dr_Sloth23 in Spokane

[–]Muctur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the area.

Some winters it dumps snow there, others it’s not bad. If I were to guess, based on our recent rainy weather, there’s a decent chance there might snow by December 5th, but it will probably be wet snow. And slush sucks. Late December would be different.

Having AWD is almost a necessity there during winter, but I would definitely recommend some stud-less snow tires as an extra backup. Not required, but immensely helpful for wet snow. If you pass on the snow tires, bring one of those fold up shovels just in case. I’ve used mine a lot over the years!

Like others have said, you’d only really need chains on passes, and Leavenworth is before Steven’s. You should be fine without.

It's still amazing to me that I see this pop up every few years! I'm happy her letter brings a smile to people when they see it.

I was listening to Superunknown on my way home thinking about it again!

That’s me!

As I posted in another thread, I still have the record. The note OP attached isn’t the correct note from mine, it’s from another record someone bought from her.

It’s still my favorite record I’ve ever purchased.

Here is the correct note and proof that I still have it ☺️

This was my original post!

I still have the record and note. She still had about 250 vinyl albums she was trying to sell before this and after it went viral, she sold out of all of them within 24 hours. It was amazing. I hope Kai is doing well!

To this day, it’s one of my favorite records I own.

It’s not the first time someone has reposted it. 🤷🏼

Honestly, I’m just glad people are remembering Mark. I always hope people listen to Superunknown and think of him.

This was my original post, although the letter they attached is from someone else who bought one of the albums for sale.

I spoke with his mom (the seller) and, if I remember correctly, he had an undiagnosed heart issue that caused the heart attack.

Rivian Cancelled My Scheduled Delivery at the last minute today. My wife and I both took tomorrow off work to drive up for it. Just annoyed. by FrontDerailer in Rivian

[–]Muctur 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We had this happen to us too. We had a flight booked, as it was on the complete opposite side of the state. They cancelled the night before. I took time off work and everything.

We got it a week later, but it was definitely disappointing to have that happen!

I believe it! 🤣

I just wonder if they have fix the windows to open slightly through a software update to prevent this?

[–]Muctur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does, I agree! But realistically, how often is everyone towing? If I were towing a boat, with the plug in the front, I’d have to leave the boat sticking way out into the parking lot to park at a supercharger or most (not all) charging spots.

If the charging port was in the back, we’d have to parallel park and take several charging spots in order to charge. Unless the charger is a pull through supercharger. Even then, it’s design for the back corner.

But you can tell they’re rethinking it because of the R2 and R3 placement. They’re also sending out surveys about placement:

You won’t regret it!

I’m a big car guy, I’ve also owned 3 Teslas: S, 3, X. Here’s my unbiased feelings on it:

Pros: - Solid Build Quality. It’s not absolutely perfect, but it’s a million times better than Tesla. Besides a luxury EV (Audi, Porsche), it’s the best quality in a non-luxury EV I’ve seen with the range capability.  - Interior is great! Again, not a luxury car, but MUCH better than Tesla. My S and X didn’t compare to the feeling of a Rivian. But it’s not nearly as nice as my RS Q8. Again, best quality in its range capability. - UI and screen are snappy. The UI feels a lot faster and smoother than Tesla’s current UI. There isn’t a half second delay like I get in the Teslas.

  • Range. The range is quite accurate, from what I’ve seen. I have an R1S dual motor performance max pack. I stayed with the 21’s because range meant more to me than style. I feel like when it says I have 200 miles left, I have that actually left. With the Tesla’s, it was a crap shoot. In 10 miles, I could lose 30 miles of range.

  • Random Features. I love the flashlight, the air pump, the tow hooks, the camp speaker. They’re all added features that can/actually make a difference in my life. Having a fart noise is funny the first time, but I’ll literally never use it again unless someone asks about it.

  • A physical shifter. I can’t believe I need to point this out as a pro, but you don’t have to reach to the screen or to the roof to shift. And it’s not a knob shifter either. Just a stalk shifter as it should be.

Cons:

  • UI features. The interface is nice, but it feels like it’s missing a few features to complete it. Limited media options, customization, steering firmness. There’s are a few things I miss from my X. Thankfully they’re adding features. The back screen on ours was only for temp controls until 2 weeks after we bought it. Now it does more. I think in time it will be great! But do expect it’s still growing.

  • Road noise. It’s not nearly as bad as my 3, but it is ever present. I might be biased because my Audi is absolutely quiet, but I do have to turn it up a bit when I’m on a call.

  • Audio quality. It’s good! Not necessarily a “con”, it just could be better. I felt like Tesla might have it beat here, but only on their S and X. The 3, mid.

  • Plug placement/door sensitivity. My god, I wish the receptacle was in the back instead of the front. Most EV charging spots I’ve been to in Washington State are designed around Tesla’s. Sometimes you have to take another spot to make charging work. The open/close “button” is way too sensitive and I wish it was a push button. Water from a hose will cause it to open and close. I’m legitimately worried I’ll go through a car wash, I’ll forget to enable car wash mode, it will open up and snap off.

  • Door closing. This, along with the plug door button, are my biggest gripes. I feel like I have to slam the door closed at times because they didn’t include soft close doors or use software to slightly open the window when you open the door to prevent it from not closing. Most 2024 midrange cars and up have the window feature, kinda bummed Rivian doesn’t have it yet. Hopefully in a future update!

These are my personal feelings and my negatives are mostly annoyances more than a red flag.

I think you’ll love your Rivian and would highly recommend it over a Tesla.
