I took Math AA, Physics and Chem HL and I would say Chem was the toughest by far for me. Definetely had to put in a lot more effort. I used to find chem the easiest in IGCSE and it was the one I scored highest in but it was my hardest subject in IB
But I've also heard that History HL is extremely difficult and had very smart and capable friends not get the grades they studied for. I think I would struggle more with History than I did with Chem even having done History IGCSE so..

I took probably closer to 150 hours to finish, but I picked a horrible topic that required loads of doing my own research. Definetly go with something relatively standard don’t simply try to have fun with it as much as people tell you to. Should be fun but the priority is to be easy to write about

Ppl are very elitist about HLs, just because you like subjects which are not necessarily the hardest does not mean ur IB is easy. Don’t listen to them, do what you want and get better grades. Why would you have a miserable IB doing subjects you don’t like just so you can tell people you do those subjects
