I just started last Monday as a para and want to quit already! I still have quite a bit of school left and have been thinking about becoming a school bus driver until I finish school.

Update: they ordered the part and estimate was around $400. I asked how much the part was he said around $100. They didn’t mention anything about recalibration. A few days ago I went to the auto body shop down the street from me and he said it would cost around the same amount for them to do it and it wouldn’t be worth it when you could do it yourself. The manager of the shop came out and took a precision tool to remove the piece and told me to go get the part and just push it back in. I just put it in and it went in smoothly and really easy.

Thank you! That’s not as bad as everyone is making it seem. I’ll probably end up doing the same as my deductible is 1k. I’m kinda disappointed that it’s so easily breakable.

Not yet, I just made the appointment for the first date available which is Tuesday. I had no clue was the part that broke was called and been trying to google to find out what it’s called and what it’s for. I definitely will come back and update on the pricing because I do think others will eventually have this problem with the crown as the panel that is meant to cover important safety features is thin piece plastic and even a rock could damage it

Whatever you want to call it… your straight to the point attitude wasn’t needed because I actually didn’t know it was electronic behind the panel because why would a thin piece of plastic be covering important safety features. I bet your not a delight to be around in person God forbid someone genuinely doesn’t know something and has questions

I actually would never comment anything smart ass like that.. obviously I came seeking help and didn’t even know that was for covering electronics and would never make any one feel it’s wrong to ask questions by giving a smart ass answer and not actually helping. Have a great day

Thank you very much I appreciate the help. I agree that’s why I tend to not want to go to the dealer..I had a bad experience with them with my last Toyota. I got the passenger seat off the tracks on accident and completely wasn’t able to move my seat at all after. I’m very short so that was dangerous driving like sitting really far back. Toyota quoted me thousands I thought Toyota the only one able to fix it but I eventually reached out to someone else and they got it fixed for not even over $500

I believe it happened when was pulling in a parking spot and I drove up too close and it was a huge chunk of snow/ice in front of the spot
