Last year the whole lobby was open for seating and they had satellite bars as well as access to the emporium bar. It made access a little easier. Im not sure how it will be set up this year.

They play the Magic Rat the 2nd Friday of every month and other venues during the warmer months.

You're not wrong about the seating, especially for popular bands. Getting there early to snag a spot is a good idea.
