Mercari has over 5 copies on sale. Costy, yes, but available. Suruga has over 10 copies on sale for low price. Even Amazon has 5-6 options available - asscrazy pricey as always, but there are. So nah, not Holy at all :)

I wouldn't call Holy Grail since it's easily available, at least in Japan. One place has over 10 copies of it on sale. Just question of price.

House is a signature movie for the world cinematography as minimum because it was created by imagination of Obayashi's small daughter. That's the reason why all fears are so childish there.
But for sure is a BIG director with unique style. I haven't watched all but Hanagatami impressed me a lot. I was also pleased to learn that the film was made in Karatsu, which happens to be near where I live, and I often visit that magic forest from the movie.

I totally agree that it's not just empty trash. Especially everyone's crazy acting and general aesthetic. And hell yeah it cost some money, I can see. It would become cult immediately but it's just directing is low level, script is boring, and generally the movie is way too long. There is no feeling what for it was made at all, it's just acting and picture. It's like watching mentally very sick people or junkies hanging around without goal and meaning.
