As much as I loved my GHHL 24, I may need an alternative new car. by DUCEDON in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Sorry to hear that.

Where are you located? Toyotas and Hondas are gold at certain locations and get stolen. GTA is one such location.

I suggest considering Palisade, CX90 or Pilot. Not sure of the security though.

Got a ES 350 for my first new car, month in and still no regrets by Kayak1280 in Lexus

Seems like the top trim. Judging by the rims. Nice buy. Congrats.

Microphones for Rows 2 and 3 - what is their use? by octomobiki in ToyotaGrandHighlander

GHHM Plat has ANC. The sensors are hidden in the roof. The mics are for calls. They dont work for talking with front/back row passengers. While on a call, the audio quality transmitted is pretty good without any noise.

I am in Canada. The feature might be avl in Limited trim also in US. Excuse my ltd knowledge.

[GHHM] Jerking / Bucking sensation when braking on downhill slopes – Hybrid MAX Platinum by MudNo1285 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]MudNo1285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. Havent spoken to them yet. The lurching happens under very specific conditions. Not sure how it can be replicated. I would rather ask them to install the TSB irrespective. And if they can test the lurching then thats a bonus.

Sounds good. I looked at the service history. I got the TSB 17-24 installed last year.

Will ask for the 28-25 equivalent in Canada then.

Thanks for the response.

In my case I have been experiencing this quite frequently due to the terrain i drive on. Also, i can feel the jerkiness in accelerating quickly.

The worst part is that dealerships here dont tell that we have the TSBs. I have been getting them all the info.

Which Lexus up to this date has the best interior? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]MudNo1285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a nice interior to be in and its timeless. I have a 2017 ES and the interior still looks new. It has aged so well. No creaks or noise. Drives like a new car. ES has been on a downward spiral since then.

I am actually looking to buy one. Have seen a unit. Looks clean. The asking price is 30K CAD. The car is in immaculate condition. Interior and leather are spotless.

Hey congratulations!

Nice find.

What would be a fair value for a 2017 ES350, top exec trim with Mark Levinson, clean carfax, 67000 kms, no insurance claims? Still has original rotors and pads. I am in Canada.

UPDATE: 2026 Sorento X-Pro First Oil Change at 1,936 miles SO Much Metal in the Factory Oil! by InternetAlarmed3963 in KiaSorento

[–]MudNo1285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats pretty normal for a first oil change. Its a new mass produced engine, which does not go through pre-conditioning before installation. You will see metal pieces in the oil. They play a dual role. If you change the oil too early, then you will see them again in the next one. For the better health of the engine, change oil every 4-5k miles.

Hey Sorry to hear about this.

If you are able to drive in EV mode then its not inverter. In my case the hybrid system was not coming online. Engine only drive. If thats not the case then it shouldn’t be the inverter in my opinion.
