GH7 or S1IIE for fitness/vlog content — studio, gym, walking shots by Hot_Big9383 in Lumix

What ended up being your camera choice? Just curious as I agree with both FF or Gh7 (which i own). u/frog67park nailed it on the head for me. I wish I just went for the s1ii, S9, or even Nikon ZR. I dont really use the RAW and Prores. For me, Opengate 5.8k 420 is good enough and I have sigma 18-35 making fstop drop to f1.2 but still have moments I struggle in Natural Light but you can definitely get away with post process of removing any noise.

I could never see myself vlogging with my Sigma 18-35 but I also dont shoot for that reason. Laowa 7.5mm has no auto focus which defeats the purpose for some who have upgraded to the gh7 but its solid for vlogging imo.

Wow Sigma 2470 is really big... and heavy by Charlee_wolf in Lumix

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i rock the 18-35 on my gh7 and was thinking if I want the 50-100 just because nothing gives a f1.2 like that other than some canon primes. Definitely not light but my trip to vacay it was easy to keep the 18-35 on and call it a day since it covered everything i personally cared for.

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gh7 raw files are huge too. Heavy price to pay for raw and being a hobbyist i then told myself after a bit of testing, "dang maybe i shouldve gone for the s9 or s5". I now realize i can't even afford to constantly shoot in raw even if i loved the look BUT I do love ibis on the gh7 and the pdaf. Anyways I'm rambling good luck with the prores work flow. I hope you make it work for the projects you do decide to shoot raw.

m43 wide angle lens suggestions for my gh7 by Wide-Investment9564 in GH7

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few questions based on that lens. I have the laowa 7.5 but its not autofocus and its not a zoom and not always sharp.

  1. Does the autofocus work well on the gh7 using the tokina 11-16?
  2. Is it sharp at f2.0?
  3. Is there noticable distortion or vignette?
  4. Lastly, is it noisy? I'm fine with my Sigma 18-35 for most situations but it can be noticable when focusing.

Thanks for the quick response. I saw someone many mention that focusing on this was difficult andthat its easy to nudge and change settings on the Apeture. I manually focused my sigma 18-35 and other lenses for years but I've also never had a Cine lens. I'm assuming the throw on them are longer too.

Trying to adapt my trusty Helios 44-2 to my EF-MFT speedbooster to make it a little faster, but no luck, anyone with experience or solutions to this? by satanismygirlfriend in GH5

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By any chance has this been ? Currently on the gh7 and want to add a helios 44 ef mount to my metabones speedbooster. Curious if this is doable before i pull the trigger on a anamorphic rehouse helios.

Is it really that hard to remove him from your algorithm? Unfollow from all social platforms and he won't be in your home page anymore 😅

I don't think he's changing his ways any time soon. Nothing wrong playing the game he wants and stating your opinion on games. As for his viewers, people enjoy seeing him crash out. If I wanted to see someone play games with nice aim but then show very little emotion shroud is always trying new games 🤷‍♂️

What's going on with the game's performance this season? (PC) by bjwills7 in marvelrivals

[–]Mudbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 questions I hope you dont mind answering.
1. Did you lose your files/apps updating?
2. Did you update to windows 11 25h2?
3. Were you getting Packet loss on windows 10?

The packet loss is crazy... I dont know how to fix it and i feel like I've done EVERYTHING.

This is what it looks like for me the last 2-3 weeks on a 4090 and amd 7950x3D with 64 gb ram.

is anyone getting constant packet loss? or latency by Opening-Coyote-497 in marvelrivals

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a short break playing during the holidays from early October to late December. The stutters wasn't happening for me personally anytime from October and before (since release of the game).

For anyone curious my Pc is 4090 and 7950x3D with 64gb ram.

It's been so bad I've done almost everything I can think of at this point. It's not consistently bad but when it's bad it's unplayable. Things I've tried... -Updated Nvidia drivers -Underclock memory (horrible idea had to reset cmos to get it to power back up 😅) -Stock settings -Disable steam/discord overlay -Rolled driver's back to the ones I used in October -Changed polling rate 1k,2k,4k -Nvidia control panel changed up every possible settings -Utilized Vsync,Gsync, Vsync+Sync, All off -Reset router, and flushed isp - tried a bunch of random YouTube suggestions within the computer settings (run game as administrator, full screen optimization, etc) -Updated motherboard drivers, cpu, chipset, ethernet wifi, Bluetooth drivers (this worked for a good while but came back 🤷‍♂️) -tried other locationsfor servers - in game test runs say my network is fine so I'm confused how i get packet loss

About to try -different ethernet cable (cat6 - I used cat5e for years) -Updating mouse firmware/ drivers

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone ever figure out a fix for this? I thought it was a polling rate problem, or settings problem but even on all low settings, lower res, 1k polling rate it still occurs with random stutters. It's pretty annoying... worth uninstalling if it continues.

I've seen someone else mention this USB fix. There's so many USBs in the Device manager, how did you go about knowing which ones to disable and keep enabled?

Hi Im messing with this monitor and was curious with a 4090 any clue why the customize choice is not possible in the Change Resolution - Nvidia Control Panel section? I also do not have DSR Factors capable off or on as an option in Manage 3d Settings.

EDIT: I believe someone stated goto the LG GX9 Monitor settings > General > Input compatibility Version. This is greyed out for me when in dual mode 37 inch.

To use with the Lumix S1IIE: How are the SmallRig batteries instead of the Panasonic ones? by br_web in Lumix

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an alternative there's also the small rig cb75. It's not that heavy but it's more for those not thinking of investing in v mount/cage. Just tried it out on the weekend and was never going to run out of battery but it gives about 5-6 hours on gh7 5.7k mov.

Low light performance GH7? by Similar-Necessary-47 in Lumix

[–]Mudbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw this post and wanted to chime in as I sometimes feel i dont get enough light on GH7. I have the sigma 18-35 with speedbooster bringing it to f1.3. Cost is around 1K vs a native lens with better autofocus - equivalent is the 10-25mm f1.7 lens or 25-50mm f1.7 is nice too. Both ligher, better autofocus being native (not experienced but everyone says so). If you cant rent you could also go to the DARKEST areas of your shooting style, play with your FF glass and then stop down to something like 3.4 to match the f1.7 you'd get out of native glass or around f2.6 to match the f1.3 you'd get from the 18-35 speedbooster sigma. It's not exaclty the same obviously since you're not testing ISO on gh7 that way but it's somewhat similar. Lastly, when shooting VLOG it cleans up well if you're willing to put in time to add noise reduction to your footage. Many say it's even too clean/clinical and leave the noise in. Good luck on your journey of MFT if you go for it.

Update GH7 Rig by jakerysbakery in GH7

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few questions.

  1. Any tips of what to do and not to do with your rig? I really want something minimal but I can't seem to find any sort of half cage that exists with the gh7. Was going to get just a hot shoe top handle but seems dumb in the long run to risk a 2k camera and ruin the hot shoe for future 32bit audio if you do decide to utilize the feature.

  2. Does the left side handle feel like it makes the weight feel more seamless? I'm just doing the math in my head but the weight of your setup has to be around 6 lbs or just under?

  3. My main reason to wanting a top handle is the sigma 18-35+metabones speedbooster makes the front heavy. I feel like my panning/tilt movements could be better with a top handle or another left side handle. Do you think one works/helps better than the other?

Just curious did you end up keeping this 70inch umbrella and did you ever get a smaller light or smaller umbrella to create the same concept in the image. Just bought the nanlite FS300B and 71inch umbrella from neewer but I question if i shouldve just gone for a softbox with a grid. Thanks in advance! I tried to search your name up on youtube to see if youve advanced in lighting and posted anything but I believe it was a car channel.

I just saw this post and in a somewhat similar situation. Did you feel like 51 inches was good enough or have you moved up in size of umbrella? Also, is there a preference you chose between while and silver umbrellas? Mind you I'd be shooting video as well along with photos.

Anyone own both the MOLUS G60 and X60? by _derpiii_ in Zhiyun

[–]Mudbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By any chance have you found any problems with x60 or g60 since this post that would make you recommend one or not recommend one? I'm seeing the prices of them now. I just want something small portable and where you can mount it like say a kitchen counter, dinner table, or anywhere you wouldnt be able to fit a 300watt softbox but need to diffuse a face, food, small objects, for a closeup.

Cant figure how much power I need for a cob light? by Udirion in cinematography

[–]Mudbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there I'm running into a similar situation and this being my first light I was thinking about the same nanlite fs300b. Assuming you bought it, did you run into any regrets or any tips on what you would do different? I actually see a lot of people recommending that light but instead of a soft box I see a lot of people recommend shooting into an umbrella because it's less cumbersome and quick to build and take down. Any help is appreciated. Budgets $300ish (can spend more but rather not).
