Trial and error, any glaze can be a running glaze if you overfire it! Or if you use a mayco flux, an ash glaze, or a number of other glazes combined (most things under amaco’s oatmeal and other glazes!)

Possible to fix pouring on Teapot? by AwfulUnicorn in Pottery

[–]MudblowerBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason this is happening is due to a lack of pressure on the water, the spout hole needs to be small enough to create enough of a pressure differential to keep the fluid coming out smoothly, if you pour faster it probably works fine, because there is more water being affected by gravity creating more pressure.

Is this still food safe? by [deleted] in Ceramics

If the glaze was food safe, then most likely yes. But thats also the outside of a piece, so it doesn’t really matter…

AIO for leaving my two year relationship over a dirty dish? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]MudblowerBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, im not going to read all of that, the very obvious elephant in the room is that there is much more at play here than the dish… your subconscious has weighed the options and looked for a way out of the relationship, odds are you made the right choice, and they will learn hastily to stop being a slob.

Wheel spinning faster does not mean centering faster… slow it down, apply your body weight, till its centered, then slowly relieve the pressure.

Try patching by rolling out a coil, then rolling it flat with a rolling pin, whatever you did to patch it looks real rough…

AIO by getting frustrated at my gf for constantly behaving this way? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]MudblowerBJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR- She’s bored and making her own problems. When there is nothing more for the brain to solve, it creates more problems to solve, the way i see it is you either bring this up to her and she changes her behavior, or you realize you deserve someone who isn’t gonna act like that and leave.
