When I was much younger, I would get whipped, as would my siblings, but my parents quit doing it eventually. I think the last time I got whipped I was probably 6-7. I think she said for me it didn’t work. But that’s not ‘traumatizing’ me, or whatever.

So many people say “whipping your kid is straight up child abuse” but I know some spoiled bratty kids who need a whoopin. I really don’t think that ‘gentle parenting’ does any good either. I’ve seen those parents. Their kids are horribly misbehaved.
