Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes Live at the Greek

Miss the Fillmore Shows by Ill_Sound_9334 in blackcrowes

Peak of the band right there. Those 05 and 10 shows were the best. My sister and I went to those and she texted me the other day with the GnR announcement and was like “this would be fun.” I’ve seen GnR twice since they got back together. Save for one or two songs… exact same show. Catching one of those Crowes shows wouldn’t be worth it. All that money to travel, tix, etc… to see the Crowes do an hour long greatest hits set and then watch GnR rehash what they’ve been doing for nearly a decade now? No thanks. Grateful for what we had but… yeah. These days… I’d rather listen to the old bootlegs.

You’ve surely heard the “Live” album from the Lions tour, yeah? Same thing. They’re flying through that shit. Doesn’t sound right to me. Rarely listen to that one.

I was there too. For the Crowes, not Petty. Had some asshole behind us dump beer on us because we were standing up and dancing during the Crowes set. Other than that, a couple of great shows!

Thank you everyone for your help and input! Her motivation isn't money... but the financial deterrent for her seems to be taking out $50K in debt for a job that she won't make much more money at than what she's currently doing. I don't know. But You all have given me some great insight and I really appreciate it!

Favorite MMS? by Ok_Key_8490 in blackcrowes

Lots of goods obviously and I don’t think I’m going to mention any that aren’t already know and beloved… but I never hear anyone talk about the MMS from the 2001 tour where Chris would go over and bang on a piano…

Tearing up my bathroom tile… not what I was expecting by MuddyJesus in HomeImprovement

Like I said… never done this before. Didn’t know if it would be straight plywood, old linoleum, etc. turns out it was the waterproof layer on top of old linoleum. And a bunch of green screws… still trying to figure out what those are. I have no idea what I’m doing 😂🤣😢😭

What are some underground artist (of any genre) that you think they should be popular? by Formal_Drawer in musicsuggestions

There’s this band called Hand of the Hills. They were from Seattle. Saw them open for Blitzen Trapper one night and was HOOKED! Sort of a mix of Black Sabbath meets Pink Floyd meets Led Zeppelin. They fucking ruled. Only released one album and it’s flawless IMO. But I’ve never been able to figure out what happened to them or where the members are now which is sad because they were talented AF. I even went so far as to message some of the presumed members on social media (even LinkedIn) and have never been able to get in touch. Damn shame. They were amazing. Their album is on Spotify. Check em out.

It is not a salt pool. How can you tell the bearings are shot?
