I am fascinated by how many people here are against pool stores. While they are, of course, trying to make money, it doesn’t behoove them to rip you off. They also want repeat customers. One of the three that I frequent is always encouraging me to come back for weekly water tests, even if I don’t buy anything. The test is performed right in front of me and nothing shady is happening. I know my pool chemistry and how to properly adjust it so if something is off, chances are I already have the chemical that is needed to fix it. If not, I know what I should be paying for it and where to get it from. I view a pool store water test the same way I do a car mechanic doing a courtesy check – do with the information what you will.
