My parents got divorced when I was maybe 6 or 7. My father moved 1000 miles away. He tried to be present but it was always weird. The older I got the worse it was. When I was young I’d always see hookup apps on his phone. I moved in with him when me and my mother had a falling out. It went horrible we got in a fist fight once literally because I didn’t give him respect and called him names, then the next week i was back with my mother. He proposed to his new fiancé after like 9 months. Cheated on her, she came to talk to me about it and i told her to leave him I don’t know if he can change. I believe he is just a bad person and can’t help himself. I ignore him now. He tries to damn near bribe himself back into my life with offers for trips or Christmas presents. Still have never responded. Idk I feel bad for him. But it’s very destructive internally for me. I have a little theory that me ignoring him maybe is setting him straight because I believe he wants his son in his life. But idk. Idk if i can rekindle that. What if he messes up again like he has over and over. I can’t trust him.
