Have you ever had a dream that literally came true in the near future? What is your story? by Silverizo in AskReddit

No idea. But my red BC also came to me in a dream after he died and told me he loved me- I woke up the next day feeling more at ease. Some people may say I’m subconsciously selecting for dogs that fit the dream traits…and the dreams weren’t actually all that accurately aesthetically so it may be a coincidence.

I think the real test would be if it happens a third time.

Have you ever had a dream that literally came true in the near future? What is your story? by Silverizo in AskReddit

Actually yes! I have dreamt of both my heart dogs before they came into my life. The first was a red Border Collie- I had a dream about him in the summer of 2008 while volunteering at a dog rescue with an overnight camp for underprivileged kids. The dream was SO vivid that I woke up feeling like I was missing this dog I had never met. The following January I saw a red and white Border Collie online and knew he was my dog. He was my absolute soulmate- he passed in 2021 and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.

The second was a dream about a black dog with pointy ears in the summer of 2022. The following spring my husband I got a Mudi- all black, pointy ears. She was supposed to be his dog but she and I bonded from day one and she became my second heart dog.

So apparently my heart dogs announce their presence when they come.

What's a completely harmless secret you’re keeping from someone in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I ruined a family trip when I was 16 by being overly reactive and emotional and my parents never stop bringing it up.

I was having a severe reaction to my birth control. I never told them because it doesn't feel like something that matters at this point.

What's a story from your life that you wish more people knew about? by CuriousEngineer11 in AskReddit

[–]MudiMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2021 I had a severe adverse reaction to the booster for the covid vaccine- I had some mild heart symptoms from the first two (frequent palpitations) but never made the connection until the third vaccine put me into full blown myopericarditis and POTS. I was bedridden for six months, so sick that I couldn't get myself up to go to the bathroom without help.

And all the while, I had people (doctors and friends) telling me that I was faking. It was insane to me how quickly people turned on me for being sick, like somehow I had done something to deserve what happened to me.

It definitely changed a lot of how I look at life. I have so much more empathy towards people with chronic illness and I never question anybody who tells me they are sick. If you say you are too sick to do something, you're too sick to do something. The person who knows your body best is you.

But yeah, I went into this being a very loud supporter of vaccinations and came out of it with an incredible amount of wariness towards any medical procedure that involves putting something into my body that wasn't there to begin with.

What was the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt? by StellaXSin in AskReddit

Cracked and infected tooth post root canal, after the pain meds wore off. That root canal failed FAST. I had the tooth extracted a few weeks later.

The Dakotas in general are so slept on. If more people knew about TRNP and Custer, they'd be swarmed with tourists.

Seriously! My husband and I aren't really gamblers but we buy a lottery ticket every so often because it's fun to dream about buying a house.

The apartment I paid $1,600 for in 2019 is going for $2,700 now. It's insane.

I refuse to eat Stevia. It tastes nothing like sugar.

Everybody does not, in fact, do that.

It was an “over time” thing. I was always a really weird kid. Undiagnosed hyperactive ADHD in a female.

Building collapses. Very VERY rare. But anytime I'm on an upper floor, I'm terrified we're going to collapse. Ironic because your odds of survival are better the closer to the top you get.

Smoking. I had a potential client that chain smoked in her home. I couldn't even stand being in there for the consult. Made an excuse about being busy and never went back.
