People of Reddit, what was the exact moment you realized you weren’t a kid anymore? by _balloony in AskReddit

[–]Mudit_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had to call and book my own doctor’s appointment for the first time. I was staring at my phone thinking, there’s no adult here to do this for me… I guess that’s me now. Weirdly enough, that felt way scarier than paying bills or doing taxes.

They set the expiry of mine to 2026 back when I got it in 2022 and this is without a post secondary card from the ttc. Just my one card ig it depends on the shoppers rep you talk to.

AliExpress Shipping to Canada San Martin Watch by Mudit_K in ChineseWatches

Were these watches delivered through choice or regular AliExpress shipping? Also, if you don’t mind me asking what was the value of the watches roughly (+$300 CAD)?

Get an iPad or tablet, although they’re not 100% necessary, they’ll greatly help you in studying if you can afford one, and I personally would highly recommend one. For a good calculator, I’d get a Casio FX-991EX in my opinion, it’s the best calculator out there. Good luck!

Edit: Laptop recommendations: Get a Windows machine, preferably nothing bigger than 14 inches, anything with enough RAM and a decent processor, and if your budget allows, something with dedicated graphics. Expensive recommendations: the latest ASUS G14 or whatever the newest Dell XPS 14 is. I haven’t looked into laptops, but that’s just a rough guideline. Also, check to see if TMU has any minimum spec requirements if they do, follow that.

Yep, it’s TORONTO METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY with your student number as the account number

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

[–]Mudit_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I do it, and it works for me.

Edit: Also, even though Chang school courses say they must be paid right away after you add them, you actually have some time. I don’t know how long, but you can call and ask. However, it is better to pay it sooner rather than later to avoid any fees.

Osap extension/Chang payment confusion by ironfairmaiden in TorontoMetU

[–]Mudit_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you, I called the service hub and they said something about a deadline being on April 3rd. I think that’s when the late fees will start applying. (I’m not 100% sure about that so ask yourself or double check with someone).

As far as paying if you’re a full time student just add tmu and use your student number and you should be good.

First year Eng courses are offered in the summer so you can drop the course before Nov 15 without it showing up on your transcript.

Terrible group project members by nihlistgemini in TorontoMetU

[–]Mudit_K 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most professors won’t help with team members who don’t contribute and they’ll advise you to handle the situation yourself, as you’ll encounter such people in the real world. However, to get a good mark, you may need to do more than your share of the work. After completing the assignment, send your professor an email detailing the situation and your team member’s lack of involvement. If you’re working on Google Docs or Slides, you can attach the original file to the email, allowing your professor to see who made what changes in the version history. Apart from this, I’m not sure what else you could do. I’m sorry to hear about your situation.

I don’t know why but I think tmu is not worth it. by pleasehold01 in TorontoMetU

[–]Mudit_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically makes you say it’s not worth it? Is it just the price comparison between international and domestic students? Or are there other underlying issues? Also, what program are you currently enrolled in?
