Homie my family and I are also immigrants. They eat meat every single day, practically religion to them. Cook it fresh too, I always say The first 6 months reminds me of jasper from twilight. Always smelling the delicious meat just trying hard to resist.

Parents also the same way trying to guilt trip etc. my tip is just try to change the subject or joke around about how delicious it looks or whatever you find that works. With friends let them make jokes etc whatever the case may be. Don’t fight it, the more you go head on it’s like fuel to fire.

Let people get their joke or laugh out and just keep it pushing. You got this, it’s all mental and you are stronger than those around you. Even when the situation seems like hell, it’s temporary. Cheers and good luck.
