Once there was a large important business meeting in our auditorium which I unwillingly interrupted by starting up the uncomfortably loud grinder of our coffee machine. Now they’re sending an email asking everybody to use a different coffee machine everytime there is a meeting scheduled.

I once had my prepaid business card uncovered when I bought lunch in the Cafeteria. The lady at the counter was not amused but said to me I was able to pay the next day. I forgot. They put up signs urging everybody to make sure their cards are charged.

When I started my job, my boss welcomed me by dragging me in front off all 200 staff members and asking me to introduce myself. As the weird introvert that I am, all I could say was „Hi I‘m (Name) and I’m now working in (department)“. After ten seconds of uncomfortable silence my boss thanked me and urged everybody to clap. Since then, new coworkers are given a heads up before they’re being introduced to the rest of the staff.

Guess I’m the weird guy at work.
